typical tourism? go to hawii

by lark35 , Jul 14 '00
Pros: untouched land; simply gorgeous
Cons: fake and overdone
expecting enchanted islands, I was let down by how overdone hawii is. The only worth while things now are the beautiful natural parks, and the rare amounts of undeveloped coastline. If you're looking for a typical vacation place, hawii is probably the...

Fun and exciting vacation spot
by michaelrc316 ,Nov 14 '07
Pros: Fun, Sun, and Surf
Cons: Sunburn
When it's getting cold outside the perfect warm place to go is the island of Hawaii. I went to the islands of Oahu and Kawai and had a great time. The weather was awesome, and we did a variety of different activities. Snorkeling there is a very inexpensive and fun activity, along with boogie boarding (a kind of surfing). I would recommend the hawaii for people who love to have fun in the sun. It will be an experience like none other.

Kona Village resort
by thai22278 ,Sep 06 '05
Pros: beautiful setting, nice staff, very romantic, free use of all beach equipment
Cons: expensive meals(that are included with most packages),no TV or AC
If you want a honeymoon or an island get-away without any distractions, this is the place for you. Without telephones, TV's, alarm clocks, you and your soul mate have nothing but quality time with each other. However, you have to remember, they do not have AC either but the nice ocean breeze in the early morning and evening make it bearable. The staff is excellent and very helpful. They even opened a coconut for my husband. The food is pricey but quite good and the option of tipping being charged to your room avoids hassles of bringing money with you. The resort makes you so comfortable that you let your suspicions of thieves and crooks behind at home- they do not give you keys with your rooms, you just leave it unlock and there is no problems.
