The Mall of America: The shopping paradise that is fun for non-shoppers too

by trailhound trailhound is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Hotels & Travel, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Sep 06 '05
Pros: Over 500 stores. Decent restaurant choices. Entertainment (especially for children). Light rail link to airport.
Cons: Sometimes very crowded. Parking can get crazy. Prices.
The Mall of America is the largest enclosed shopping mall in the United States and has become a huge tourist attraction in Minneapolis/St Paul, MN. Although I don’t particularly like to shop I do like the Mall of America. Is that a contradiction? ...

The Mall of America-Over 500 Stores! Bring Your Walkin' Shoes...and Your Visa!

by chrisceb Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Sep 09 '01
Pros: Yes it is actually the biggest Mall in the country
Cons: It's way to expensive for 87% of the US population
I turned 30 last year. Even though it was a monumental birthday, or at least some believe it to be, it didn’t create in me a feeling of “being old” in my mind. It did however, cause me to reflect and realize I like myself much more than I did at age...

Pros: better than getting branded with a hot poker
Cons: sad state of affairs when a city's top spot is a shopping center
What happens when you find yourself the mayor of a good-sized city in which nothing really important has ever happened? Where God forgot to place a few amazing natural attractions? Where nobody of incredible fame endowed a fabulous museum? In short, what ...

Seen One ? - Haven't Seen Em' Mall !

by mike24 , Jun 15 '01
Pros: Just about something for everyone
Cons: Overpriced tourist trap
Having lived in Minnesota for about 2 years, I
naturally made the trip (3 times) to the Mall of
America. Being from New York originally, I’m used
to architecture on a ’’grand scale’’ but somehow,
I wasn’t prepared for this ! ...

Minnesota's MALL OF AMERICA - Big Friggin' Whoop!

by radioroger Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Apr 04 '05
Pros: Not terribly crowded on a summer Sunday. No sales tax on clothing.
Cons: Ordinary shopping experience. Mediocre extra attractions are wildly overpriced. Very overrated.
The Mall Of America was the very first destination on our 2004 family vacation from Ohio to the Pacific Northwest. I had researched the mall and my 11 and 13 year old daughters and I had learned of the 500 stores, Camp Snoopy Amusement Park and ...

Cons: Acres to cover
Another experience come and gone. I have been to the Mall of America, another wonder
of the world under glass and steel beams. I went with my daughter, my 12 year old
grandson and his friend. This place is amazing, so much to see, so much to...

The Mall Full of Hybrid Ducks and Adam Brody

by atamogaokashii , Aug 19 '01
Pros: Vans, Dry Ice, The Body Shop, Origins - stores that are at least semi-cool
Cons: you will leave insane
According to the ingenious website http://www.mallofamerica.com, the Mall of America receives more tourists than the Grand Canyon. This fact makes me want to run away screaming, "Why?! Why do I live in this country?!" The country I am referring to is, ...

If you build it, they will spend.

by pgmart , Aug 12 '02
Pros: Clean, friendly people, something for everyone.
Cons: Too big to cover in one day.
Even though I am not a "mall person", we decided to make the Mall of America the last stop on our vacation out West.

This vacation was our "Bigger and Biggest Road Trip 2002". Devil's Tower, Mount Rushmore, Wall Drug, The Corn Palace, Paul...

Pros: Well, it's a big mall.
Cons: Maybe you can find yourself there.
Soundtrack…. “Jane Says”, Jane’s Addiction (live version)…

Acrimony and the Quiet Car Ride - Mall Of America

by lpmiller , Apr 08 '00
Pros: It's bigger then any place you've ever been to.
Cons: It's bigger then any place has a right to be.
I'm a quiet, private man. I hate crowds. I hate people in general - not you, gentle reader, you I love.

Which is why I only go to the Mall of America once, twice a year tops. It is about as enjoyable as a tooth...
