Pros: Fun, flashy, unique. Lots to gawk at. Cons: Seems cynically designed to fleece tourists, which is sorta offputting. Beware the pouncing salesmen.
Puttering around the Vegas Strip was interesting experience for my husband and I. We enjoyed it, even though there were some things we were were put off by. The Strip (Las Vegas Boulevard) is Vegas's main drag, and its main (well, pretty much ...

Pros: Amazing shows and attractions, breath-taking casinos and hotels. Cons: Garish, too easy to overdo, a few (largely avoidable) risks.
Dear Mom and Dad,
I slept in a pyramid last night and had breakfast in Camelot this morning. I slipped across the street to see Elvis Presley perform. Then it was off to ancient Rome for an afternoon of shopping. I’m going to Paris for dinner...

Pros: Great place to visit!! Put the Strip high on your list of places to go!! Cons: Can become very crowded at times. But that's the joy of it all!!
WHY THE STRIP? The Strip is actually named Las Vegas Boulevard, but you wouldn't think so. How it got its name of the Strip, I do not know. I just know that it's the main attraction of beautiful elegant Las Vegas! You might even think that it's ...

Pros: Whether you are poor or rich, you can find something to do Cons: More fun if you are rich
I try to visit Las Vegas 3-4 times per year, or as my bank account permits. My fiance and I are trying to get it out of our systems before we have 3 or 4 kids in tow. Although there are kids all over the place there, I find it more fun for adults and...

Pros: Lots to See Cons: Heat
If you have read many of my reviews, you will know that we have spent a lot of time in Las Vegas. I am amazed each time that we go back how the Las Vegas Strip has changed. It seems that at every turn there is another Hotel to visit.
Walking...

Pros: The smoke and mirrors have to be seen at least once in a lifetime... Cons: Not suitable for certain audiences...
Well, it all begins on the highway. You've jumped into this great caravan of trucks and cars going in the same direction, one road leading to Rome. As you look around, you thank God for air conditioning and wondering what would be the fate of a poor fool...

Pros: Fast paced, exciting, almost too much to do in a week. Cons: Some sleazy areas.
A Little Background
The first time I went to Las Vegas was a number of years ago. About twenty to be exact. At that time, it was truly like a "mirage" coming out of the desert. When we were about to land, we could see nothing at all but...

Pros: The "New" Strip is close to all the action. Cons: Lots of traffic, annoying leaflet distributors
There are so many things I wished I'd researched before I came to Vegas. I'll try to give you my top 10 list of tips for having fun while staying on The Strip that I learned the hard way:
Tip 1: Make sure you are actually staying in a hotel in...

Pros: Free! Free! Free! Cons: Takes up room in your wallet better suited to money
When you go to Las Vegas on vacation, most people find that they leave with their wallets a bit lighter than when they arrived. I am the exception to the rule and have always left Las Vegas with a much heavier wallet. I have no special gambling ...

Pros: Lots to do, great restaurants, and great nightlife Cons: The temperature can get very hot in the summer months
I have been to Vegas twice in the past two years and I can't wait to go back again. I'm the type of person who doesn't like to visit the same place more than once, because there are other places I want to visit, but Vegas is the exception to the rule. ...

Pros: Good Music, Sound System, and Laser Show Cons: The Lines To Get In Could Be Long
I discovered utopia in a most unlikely place…Sin City. Club Utopia, that is. It might not be every one’s idea of utopia, but it very well could be...for the twentysomething crowd who can’t get enough of trance and other types of electronic...

Pros: Wide Selection, Large Portions, Moderate Prices Cons: Those Large Portions! Always A Wait
In Caesar's Forum Shops there are many places to dine, most pricey. The Cheesecake Factory gets my nod for best bang for the buck. It's family friendly, moderately priced and the food, especially the dessert, is simply wonderful.
Located in the rear...

Pros: One of the wonders of Las Vegas, Free Admission Cons: Pricey, Long Long Walk, Avoid Weekends
Las Vegas, that sprawling amoeba that threatens to consume Clark County, has plenty of shopping, from strip malls to big Malls to Outlet Stores. If you find yourself center strip (Las Vegas Blvd and Flamingo, one of the busiest intersections in a...
