Pros: There is much more here than meets the eye! Something for everybody! Cons: So much to do, and so little time.
Las Vegas. Say the words anywhere and you are bound to get a knowing smile. But the truth is, unless you spend a lot of time here, and work at it, you don't really "know" Las Vegas and all it has to offer. So, here is a brief guide for those who want ...

Pros: Very exciting, sparkly, clean, friendly, and fun! Cons: Takes first-timers a few days to get situated, not the place for militant non-smokers
After watching "Leaving Las Vegas," "Casino," and several episodes of "Taxicab Confessions," Las Vegas was the last place I wanted to go for five days. It just seemed so seedy, dirty, spoiled, and perhaps even a little scary. I've also never been a big...

Pros: There's more to Las Vegas than meets the eye! Cons: None.
I just love it when all people think about Las Vegas are the hotels/casinos, the gambling, and the strip shows. Some people are quite surprised that when they go outside of the Strip/Downtown areas, that there actually is a city just like most others...

Pros: Fun, educational, lots of cool people, makes your co-workers think you're hip Cons: Not for anyone not interested in computer security, does it have to be in Vegas in July?
Review Topic: Events & Festivals
I felt as if I was in a different world as I stood in the court yard of the Alexis Park Hotel among the white stucco and palm trees, mohawks and leather. On almost every pool side table...

Pros: As you can see the rates are no more different that in other parts of the country. Cons: That the room rates are subject to change, depending on the season, holiday, day of the week, size of room of course, and the incentives offered by the hotel.
Listed below is just a few of the major resorts in Las Vegas and the room rates. I have included my personal preferences and they can recognized by the (**) before the name. With a brief example of why I enjoy the hotels.
Hope this information...

Pros: Less expensive and crowded, best odds in town, famous light show on Fremont St. Cons: Not as large as the Strip, general surrounding area is seedy
I admit, when I was in college, I used drive to Vegas every month...I love this place. It's about a 3 1/2 hour drive from Los Angeles.
I used to go to the Strip, but I noticed it was too expensive for a student's budget. Then, my friends...

Pros: Good food, cool atmosphere, and great bartenders. Cons: Limited locations across the country.
Are you tired of the buffets and the $3.95 steak dinners on the strip and downtown? Well, if you feel like venturing away from the casinos, then you'll find that on restaurant row (Flamingo Road/Paradise Road) there are some quality restaurants:...

Pros: Too many things to do. Cons: Too many things to do.
I recently took my third trip to Las Vegas. It had been about 7 years since I had been there. If you haven't been to Vegas recently then you haven't been to Vegas. I was very surprised to see how much things had changed since my last visit.

Pros: Las Vegas has full-service resorts, many attractions, and proximity to spectacular national parks Cons: Atlantic City is a single-minded town, it's gambling or nothing
Dice in the desert, or slots by the sea. If you feel the yen to check out one of the country's two gambling meccas, you have a clear-cut choice. Strange that the only two cities in the country with gambling at their hearts could be so very different,...

Pros: Vegas has plenty to do for everyone(at cheap prices) Cons: Only somewhat recommendable for children. Hot in summer!
(Note* The following review is a few years old. The prices of meals/buffets have risen since that time, as this seems to be the trend in Vegas, i.e. fewer cheap meals. Inexpensive eating still can be found though. The atmosphere continues toward the ...

Pros: cheap and plentiful food Cons: plays havoc with your waistline
Review Topic: Restaurants
Lunchtime in Vegas, especially after a sumptious kick off to the day with Breakfast, almost seems superfluous.
We have only had lunch on two occasions in two visits to the City. More popular,...

Pros: There is nothing boring or dull about Vegas, period! Cons: I wish we had more time!
Phila - Vegas! November 2007 (Thanksgiving Week) We flew out of Philly (with a 30 min delay due to the weather) and our arrival time was originally 630pm, but we landed about 715, which was pretty good considering it was Vegas time, but boy did we ...
