Pros: Open all night, lots of variety Cons: Can get expensive if you aren't careful.
I didn't want to leave.
I recently returned from a "business trip" to Las Vegas and
have the following raves and warnings to report.
I spent just shy of 2 weeks there this trip (my second
ever) and had a great time. While there I stumbled on to

Pros: Ricardo's restaurant, MGM Grand Cons: Kids attractions close to early, Too much walking required
We visited Las Vegas this summer with our kids ages 5 and 7. I think we'd have all been happier skipping this stop on our trip.
We stayed at the MGM Grand. It was a nice hotel, clean suites, and plenty to do without leaving the complex....

Pros: Incredible architecture, shows, food, and fun Cons: Very Hot During The Summer
"Elvis Slept Here", "Michael Jordan Was Married Here", "Drive-Through Weddings", "$2.99 All You Can Eat" These are a few of the signs that make me laugh every time we drive through Las Vegas. Laughing at...

Pros: Close in and a very relaxing, scenic drive Cons: Expensive real estate, crowded on summer weekends
In summer, when Las Vegas proper sizzles during triple digit torture, locals head for the hills, or er, mountains to be exact. Where can it be 30 degrees cooler and only 30 miles away? This alpine paradise is Mt. Charleston-a ski resort area in winter,...

Pros: Great ambiance with excellent food Cons: salads are sold seperately
On my last night in Las Vegas my sister, her boyfriend, my boyfriend, and I went to one of her favorite restaurants in Las Vegas, Bootleggers. I would give directions, but I'm not sure. I think I remember it being on Tropicana.
Now when it...

Pros: It can be 8:30am and you would never know it Cons: It can be 8:30am and you would never know it
It was not until my sophmore year in college that I had experienced the amazing city of Las Vegas. Having just returned from my third trip to the city of lights, I can say that Vegas only gets better with each trip.
Day Time Activities: ...

Pros: Fun for everyone Cons: May get expensive
Review Topic: Sights & Attractions
Sights, Lights and more women than you can imagine. These are just a few things that you will notice while talking a trip to Las Vegas. This is in no way like Atlantic City....

Pros: A great day adventure Cons: Not really a con, but if you want to see most of the attraction, you need to do a lot of walking
Review Topic: Sights & Attractions
You’re going there for the lights, the food, the shows, the attractions and especially the gambling. Or maybe you’re going because you’re being dragged by a spouse or friend. Whatever...

Pros: Beautiful view of the strip! Perfect place to people watch! Cons: There is a reason they call this hotel "The city that never sleeps"!
We decided to take a few days after Easter 2001 and visit Las Vegas. (We go to Las Vegas several times a year) When Dean said he had booked us into the NY-NY hotel, I was a little leary. "What about the roller coaster?" I asked...He assured me that it...

Pros: Lots of free shows to see. Cons: Some are overpriced
We went to Las Vegas in April 2001. It was first trip there and I had a great time. We stayed for 5 days. Most people told me that was either too long or just enough time to spend there. I could not disagree more! We found ourselves rushing all over...

Pros: The whole place being open 24 hours... Cons: not getting enough sleep ::)
Las Vegas is not only a city for the people who love to play the slots and gamble, it's totally geared now for families. When we went two years I was a little leary of taking my son who was 5 at the time. I have heard too many horror stories of parents...

Pros: Some of the best shows - lots of fun! Cons: Expensive, some have 'manual' (as opposed to automatic seat assignment) seating which is VERY slow.
Remember not to buy show tickets at the airport as you arrive to avoid the surcharge of $3-5/ticket (we made this mistake for Legends).
You should call each casino to buy tickets over the phone.
If you are staying at a hotel, either use a...

Pros: tons to do, chance for cash Cons: could cost some bucks
Las Vegas is the finest adult playground in the world. I think I would want to live there except that I would probably go broke. I love all the new sites and I'm not through checking out the old sites.
The good thing about vacations there is...

Pros: A fabulous vacation spot. If you want it, you can get it here. Cons: Crowded, Noisy, If you don't understand money management you can lose your ass...ets.
Las Vegas is a town that never sleeps. You can gamble, see shows, dance, dine, shop, see the sights, whatever, 24 hours a day. They would be open 25 hours a day but that is against Nevada law.
New casinos frequently rise up from the desert...

Pros: Sampling the products Cons: None at this time
Of course Casino hopping, Buffets and gambling are the most exciting things to do in Vegas. But there are also lots of other fun things to do outside of Vegas. Favorite places my family and I never get tired of is Kidds Marshmallow factory, Oceanspray...
