This review is a rewrite of one that I wrote almost a year ago.
My City has been wounded. It is not even down, let alone out. If you want to see real courage, not bluster and wind, if you want to see how people of all races and nationalities,...
Pros: Bring energy, comfortable shoes, maps & money Cons: Can be tiring, intimidating & expensive
There are people asking, "Is it safe?" Manhattan feels totally safe. Of course, you don't leave your bag on the floor or on the back of a chair in a restaurant. You do take those precautions. And you don't stay a good distance back from the subway...
Pros: full all day, children love it Cons: expensive for digging in the dirt
This is a must for anyone with small children. Children love to find things, like coins, candy, frogs, whatever I could put in the basement to make my mother scream. That is what my childhood was centered around anyway. I loved to hunt for things. I...
On the last Spring Break I had, I went to New York with a couple of my friends. Our goal was to see as many Broadway musicals as possible. Considering that we were there for about a week,...
Pros: Fun time, lots to see Cons: may have to travel abit to get there

Pros: A weekend that the kids won't forget...filled with action and fun Cons: Be prepared to get tired!
If you have kids that like to be kept busy this is a great place to visit.
We stayed at the Marriott Residence Inn. It comes with a fully equipped kitchen so I saved some "bucks" by making tacos for dinner. The rate of the Marriott is $125.00...
Pros: awesome sight to see Cons: might be a little chilly
The Niagra Falls have been one of my personal favorite National Parks of all time. Its beautiful scenery and nature has also been a beautiful sight to see.
I went to Niagra Falls in the summer of 96'. It was gorgeous. I had went there on a...
I never thought a "hotel" room could be this small? I booked a room at the Mayfair hotel in mid January. Just for one night(a Wednesday)so I could see Les Miserable. The room was cheap for NYC, about $125.00. I was told on the phone the rooms...
Pros: Lots of local history and great food Cons: Must leave Manhattan...a hard thing to do!

Review Topic: Practical InformationThere is so much that New York has to offer that a typical tourist wont even see or do because they are too busy going to the Statue of Liberty...
Pros: East and West Villages, midtown and Fifth Avenue. Most things are good value. Cons: Empire state building. Otherwise, Less to see than i had anticipated.
I flew over to New York recently with my folks. We tried to cram in as much as possible into 5 days, and took in all the sights (Liberty, Met museum, central park, Rockefeller Centre, Times sq etc). We also did a bit of shopping, although i didn't think ...
Pros: 4 Seasons of Fun.
The fall colors. Cons: Traffic getting out of the City.
I love New York. I have lived here all of my 43 years on this earth. I would never think of living anywhere else. I even vacation here. From Long Island to the top of Niagra Falls and everything in between. There is nothing like it.
Pros: Appeals to everybody, hard to get lost, center of the world!! Cons: too crowded
Many people look at New York as a race track: people always working and running around from building to building only trying to make as much money as they can, New York is no place for fun.
Ha! I bet whoever said that dosen't live anywhere...
NOTE: I want to avoid the soggy sentimentality and Pilsbury Dough Boy-cloy of reverie one gets when recollecting childhood. I grew up in New York, lived there much of my life. My father is a golfer, consummate, and I loved the snow. So anything I can say...
Pros: Proximity to NYC, excellent food, beautiful setting Cons: not for the light of wallet
The Beaverkill Valley Inn, located 2 hours from midtown Manhattan in Lew Beach, NY is a wonderful place to get away for the weekend. Some 15 years ago, Larry and Wendy Rockefeller purchased this old fisherman's hideout and turned it into a beautiful bed...
Pros: upstate is beautiful and fun Cons: survival financially is difficult
We retired from upstate NY to northeast central FL over 10 years ago. We love the weather up to the summers. We know how tourists/snowbirds are handled here and what they contribute to the communities.
For some reason, upstate has not figured out...
Pros: Everything is right there on the island Cons: popular place, a lot of people
Visiting New York, I had no idea I was going to have such a good time. Staying at the resort on Lake George was so fun and relaxing that I would defiantly go back if I had the chance.
The resort had the following right on the island........ ...
Pros: Great Big Place! Cons: Big Crowds and Lots of Traffic!

New York, New York--You know, I LOVE New York, and most times I'd rather take my adventures in the Big Apple than anywhere else. But there is life beyond Manhattan, and a nice life it is. Sandy beaches, ornate mansions, glitzty gambling junkets--all...

Pros: Beautiful during the Winter and Summer Cons: sometimes it's too cold and can limit outdoor activities

When an afternoon rain shower hits and you need something to keep you (and the kids) busy, head to Hoss' General Store in the village of Long Lake. This is not a run of the mill tacky souvenir shop, though there's plenty of great little gifts to bring...

New York-A wonderful place to live and visit by irishguy139 ,Jan 14 '04
Pros: Safe for a big City, culture, night life, winter scenery Cons: Traffic, Expensive, and winter climate
As a new resident to New York, all I can say about is I love it. I first became attracted to New York since I visited it 15 months ago, eventually to the point of moving here. I appreciate it for the cultural mecca that it is. I have also traveled the world over and lived in some cities, however, my place to live is here in New York. For such a huge metropolis, I found New York to be very safe (one of the reasons I moved here from Florida). Even safer than many cities I've visited which are only a quarter of its size. Like any city you can always find some problems, but take the usual precautions as you would in any other city. But for the most part I enjoy living here.
