by roads-scholar , Jul 01 '05
Pros: Low cost of living, great schools, nearly prefect weather, vibrant arts scene, resurgent downtown.
Cons: Conservative mind set, sprawl, might not feel cosmopolitan enough for some people.

Litchfield- An Alternative to Myrtle Beach

by bud41 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Feb 18 '02
Pros: not as crowded as Myrtle, more upscale, lovely
Cons: traffic increasing, somewhat expensive
I've traveled to the Grand Strand since before I could walk! The Myrtle Beach area is a much different place than when I was a teenager - traffic, entertainment complexes, traffic, zillions of restaurants, traffic, sleazy beach shops, traffic, retired...

Greenville, SC -- Well-Kept Secret

by hauntedhead , Jan 02 '02
Pros: Downtown Greenville, great arts and culture, greenery, shopping, nightlife, restaurants
Cons: Overdevelopment, suburban sprawl, high crime areas, traffic, air pollution, litter
Greenville, South Carolina – admit it: you’ve either never heard of this city or only remember it because George W. Bush caught flak for campaigning there at puritanically conservative and potentially racist Bob Jones University. You don’t know a thing...

OK, I'll admit it. I love Hilton Head Island, SC. I know, I know...I've heard it all before - It's one long parade of mini-vans with cartop luggage carriers and license plates that read Ohio, Indiana and other mid-western states. It's filled with senior...
