Fantastic (Highly Suggest VIP)
by laz3 ,May 26 '08
Pros: Once in a lifetime Cons: Bad food and warm beer
I went VIP to Cedar Point last year with my wife, sister-in-law, and her husband. It was well worth the experience! The VIP cost is high, however we wanted to jam it into one day. Lines for Maverick and Top Thrill Dragster were over 2 hours long, so if your one that despises lines or have flashbacks to communist Russia bread lines, go VIP. You can ride any coaster at any position, any time! No worries about food or the ride breaking down, just plop down some cash and you get an escort through the exit and load the ride as the previous rides get off. I have to admit, it is an odd feeling riding up the loading gate and meeting up with someone who has been in line for 2 hours but forced to wait just one more turn

WORLD CLASS COASTERS
by gggggeorge ,Jan 28 '04
Pros: Lots of great coasters, short lines, great staff Cons: Closest airport is Cleveland, an hour's drive
More coasters. Faster coasters. Taller coasters. There was even this "kiddie" coaster that threw us around pretty well! If you're going for the coasters, you can't leave this one alone. Good prices on day passes, and even better if you get a package from nearby hotels. Check out their website. This place has more coasters than any place I have seen or heard of. The Top Thrill Dragster is now the tallest and fastest in the world. The Millenium held that record in 2000, so of course it's still pretty big and fast. The food was okay...not great...but not bad. They sell beer in the park, and I like that, but we didn't see any unruly people. This park is not very educational, and it doesn't have "theme" areas, but it does have COASTERS! There are plenty of picnic areas and smaller rides for families with little ones. If you're big enough for the big coasters, this is the place for you.

Best Coasters but one of the Worst parks
by mytemp095 ,Jul 08 '07
Pros: I have no complaints about the rides even though there were frequent breakdowns. Cons: Not enough free water, expensive tasteless food, very loud music while waiting in line.
I visited Cedar Point on 7/03/2007 and have no complaints about the coasters there. BUT! The food prices and quality are bad. Eight dollars for a cheeseburger basket which is nothing more then a burger with partially melted cheese and a blob of greasy fries. Three dollars for a bottle of water. How much profit do you need to make? Not enough water fountains and the pressure is turned down, probably to make you buy the $3.00 water. Very loud music blasting in your ears while waiting in line. Especially on the Raptor. Filthy rest rooms.

AMAZING PLACE! ROLLERCOASTER HEAVEN!!
by redwings4545 ,May 31 '06
Pros: Roller Coasters, VERY CLEAN, good food, just all around great time!! Cons: Expensive, other than that NONE!
We went here for the first time in July and we had an amazing time!! They have 17 roller coasters and we rode almost all of them and the rides are so fast and furious! You have to ride Millennium Force, Raptor, MAVERICK, TOP THRILL DRAGSTER, Mantis, Magnum, Gemini, and there are pleeennnty more. And of course there are more than coasters, tons of thrill rides, MaXair, Skyhawk, Power Tower, and just tons of family rides. They have hotels you can stay at and they have great resteraunts, Macoroni Grille, Bay Harbor, Famous Daves, Sports Bar and plenty more. They also have like 10 different shows and the ones we saw were very entertaining. Come to Cedar Point, but I recommend staying more than 1 day, because you need all the time to do it all. Thanks for reading!!

Cedar Point - America's Roller Coast!
by orlando0327 ,Mar 23 '07
Pros: Amazing Thrill Rides! Enough to keep the whole family occupied all day! Cons: A bit expensive, but it's well worth it!
Cedar Point has always fascinated me. As a child, I looked forward to the Berenstein Bears and Cedar Downs. As I grew older, I couldn't wait to ride roller coasters like the hanging coaster, Iron Dragon and Disaster Transport, the complete darkness indoor coaster. My first ride on the Magnum XL roller coaster was unforgettable. As the train slowly clicked it's way up that huge hill, I kept my eyes squeezed shut until I was sure we were at the top - but we weren't; in fact, we were only about halfway up!!! That drop was amazing! I went on to ride the Millenium Force when it debuted - words cannot describe that ride. If you are looking for thrills, this is the ride! I have not ridden their new roller coaster, but if it's Cedar Point, you know it's done right!
My family took a trip to Cedar Point every single summer, and I still look forward to it. I love getting off the rides and hearing that famous quote, "Enjoy the rest of your day here at Cedar Point, America's Roller Coast!"

Cedar Point is the BEST!
by tropicalangel ,Aug 27 '04
Pros: Beautiful!Clean!BEST ROLLER COASTERS!If i could I would go there every day) Cons: long lines sometimes.(solution:Get fast passes for that ride)
This summer I went to Cedar point twice and it was the most awesome place I have ever been!To tell you the truth at first I was a little nervous about going on the millennium force and the big roller coasters. But if it is your first time going there and you are not sure if you will like big roller coasters that have huge drops like Dragster and millennium force go on the power tower first. That helps because it gets rid of your fear of heights and drops. After that ride I was ready for any roller coaster and I went on the millennium force and it was SOOO awesome. You feel like you are flying(hint:put your hands up to really have that flying feeling)After these 2 rides you will know if you were meant to go on roller coasters.

Expensive, but fun!
by pdqrose ,May 09 '04
Pros: Alot of rides to choose from. Plenty to see and do. Cons: Expensive and not much choice in way of food and beverages.
If you want to ride coasters, this is definitely the place to go. A few suggestions though: First, pack a lunch and bring it with you. Food is really expensive in the park and it's not all that great. It's also mostly all the same, hot dogs, burgers and pretzels. Second, be prepared to stand in line for the more popular rides and wear sunscreen. It's very easy to get sun burn. If you only plan on spending a limited time at the park, choose carefully what rides you want to go on. Rides like the new "Top Thrill Dragster" last about 15-20 seconds, but you may be standing in line for up to 3 hours. Whereas some of the older coasters like the Magnum and Corkscrew have lines that move quickly, last a longer time and are still loads of fun!

Well worth the 415 mile trip from Kewanee,Illinois.
by mickeyrom ,Sep 29 '04
Pros: Marvelous ambiance, great food, lots of great rides. Cons: Cheesy stage shows, not up to the old Kings Island standards.(pre Paramount)
The view from the causeway is spectacular. It's as thrilling now as when I first saw it.We have introduced many friends and family to this incredible place ,and only one thought it "ordinary".We have seasons passes since two years ago, and they are a good investment. There is a restaurant,I can't think of its name, near the camping area,it's wonderful.
We always hit all the shows which are OK,but not spectacular.I do wish that the train would circumvent the entire park,as its such a long walk and I'm no spring chicken.
I find CP very clean and very nicely staffed with pleasant and competent people. It's nice for we oldsters, and it must be even better for the young. We do ride almost all the coasters, but find the dragster rather daunting.Maybe next year.

Cedar Point Ultimate Rush
by maxsonsa ,Jun 10 '06
Pros: Great Rides for all ages and such a adrenalin rush you got to love it. Cons: Long lines sometimes but the wait is worth the ride.
Cedar Point is the ultimate rush. They have great rides and a friendly staff. Even the older rides that have been around awhile are still great to ride. They have the most roller coasters in the world. I used to go there as a kid and still love to go there now. I love all the rides such as the Magnum the Raptor, the Power Tower and more. Whoever is the founder of this park created a great theme park.

Pros: The coasters, the rides, the attraction, the food selection Cons: Nothing, absolutely nothing
Nice, beautiful day to go up to Cedar Point Amusement Park to celebrate my wife's 38th Birthday. We had a ball of a time riding all the coasters and seeing some shows. Top Thrill Dragster is a monster of a ride. OH MY WORD!!!!

roller coaster capital of the world
by hobbes7997 ,Jan 19 '05
Pros: THE ROLLER COASTER CAPITAL OF THE WORLD!! record breaking rides - great entertainment value Cons: bring your pocketbook.
i live about 30 minutes from cedar point and have had the opportunity to watch the park grow over the past 15 years or so. cedar point is located on a peninsula in sandusky, ohio, and juts out into lake erie. they have had the privilege of boasting the world's tallest and fastest coasters for most of their years. the blue streak is one of the oldest coasters at the site and is named after the sandusky high school mascot. the newest coaster is the top thrill dragster that goes 120 mph in 4 seconds!! the entertainment is top notch and the games are plentiful. it is a great all around park in that it has a water park, beach, restaurants, indoor water park and hotels. the only complaint that i have is that you need to take out a small loan to enjoy a day there. otherwise, it's a great place to spend a day or two!

Coaster Capital is Awesome
by wingnutds9 ,Sep 04 '05
Pros: Great rides, great setting, great fun Cons: At worst...long waits for some rides.
Coming from the UK, to spend 3 days at Cedar Point was amazing. The rides are out of this world, the place is clean and even my 18 month old child enjoyed it.

Coaster Capital of North America
by muttlee ,Jul 02 '06
Pros: Coasters and environment for the whole family Cons: Better quality food and clean-up the park, a bit!
Have been to Disney World and Disneyland, Universal, several Six Flags across the country, Knots Berry Farm, etc. Cedar Point's coasters offer the coaster thrill-seeker a challenge, on all levels. Would love to see the food quality at this park raised even a tiny bit (will be happy to pay the increase for something edible)! Also wished Cedar Point would jump on the bandwagon and offer some decent coupons. Overall, if you love amusement parks, cannot leave this planet without trying it once!

Best coasters on the planet!
by academicdancer ,Aug 31 '05
Pros: exciting rides, big time fun Cons: long lines
An abundance of coasters and rides is to be found at Cedar Point! With so many coasters it is hard to cover the park in a day. This park is impressive because the park is relatively clean despite the fact that there are so many rides, thus A LOT of people.
The park is very easy to drive to (if you are within distance). It has a large parking lot with tons of spots.
The downside is, as with any park, the lines. They seem to stretch on forever, especially if you are in line for a new ride. But the wait is worth it. Be sure to try the rides like the Mantis, Millenium force, magnum, and the raptor!

Sorry, Cedar Point
by fatcow07 ,Apr 28 '05
Pros: 16 coasters Cons: about 10 coasters that aren't worth waiting even 10 minutes for
Sorry, Cedar Point, you guys will once again not have the tallest and fastest coaster. six flags Great Adventure is taking those two records with their addition of Kingda Kha. You guys probably should start thinking of some other records to beat besides height and speed for a change. i mean, who really wants to ride a ride that goes faster than a highway speed limit. nobody would want to ride a ride that rips your head off unless they are crazy. you guys should put in a heartline spin or a floorless coaster or a "real" wooden racer, instead of a steel track and wooden support fake. sorry, Cedar Point but the only thing you've done right in the last few years has been the indoor waterpark that i think either opens soon or has already opened.
For the enthusiast, this is certainly a top 10 theme park for you.

the WORST day of my life
by kellygirlpitt ,Jul 27 '08
Pros: i have no idea Cons: cedar point is a complete con
is this place for real? my group decided to jump in line for the raptor as it was the first big coaster we saw once inside. two and a half HORRIBLE SWEATY HOURS LATER, after being forced to listen to white trash music over their obnoxious speakers while in line, we were so upset that we barely had time to calm ourselves down to enjoy the ride. i had a headache after waiting in line and decided to sit the next one out. the others in my group then waited in line for the meanstreak (more than an hour) only to be turned away because one of the cars was stuck on the top of one of the tracks!! we spent the next hour walking around, licking our wounds, trying to come up with a plan (spent over $100 on food/drink and another $50 on $3 games that are $1 in any other park) - no air conditioning to be found in the so called "restaurants" in the park). we eventually decided to leave, get a hotel room and relax. I'LL NEVER GO BACK TO CEDAR POINT.
