Pros: Great place for entire family; lots of activities Cons: Can be an expensive outing; beware of parking patrol
Ever since I moved to New Jersey only some years ago, my family and I have made it a traditional habit to venture down to the New Jersey Shore every summer for our week long rest and relaxation, specifically around the Seaside Heights/Lavallette area. A ...
Pros: family oriented, Easter sale, safe feeling, week night activities Cons: can get expensive, weekends can be crowded
Fun in the Sun and after dark! The Jersey Shore is full of summertime attractions. The Point Pleasant Beach is home to Jenkinson’s Beach, boardwalk, aquarium, and more. The area is a family focused place for summer fun and offers many activities for ...
Pros: Old-fashioned summer time fun.
So much to do for all different ages. Cons: Parking is expensive and limited.
Growing up in NJ, there is something extra magical about Summer time. As spring rolls round, and days grow longer, the shore beckons. I was always a Pt. Pleasant girl, over Seaside Boardwalk. As long as I can remember, Jenkinsons was smaller, ...
Pros: Family friendly, variety of things to do and see Cons: Can get crowded
I may be partially biased because I grew up in the area and Jenkinsons was always part of my summer routine. With that being said, however, I have the fondest childhood memories of the times I spent at “Jenks” with my parents. Now that I have children ...
Pros: Rides, arcades, very clean, no bums Cons: Parking could be expensive
I live in this little town called Point Pleasant about a mile of where Jenkinsons Boardwalk is located, and this place is so much fun. I have been coming here since I was born and have great memories of this place. There is plenty to do here in the ...
Pros: Something to do when the sun goes down. Cons: Although its free to walk the boards, nothing else is.
Stop in at Jenkinsons Beach Boardwalk. The boardwalk is just about a mile long. It's not very clean as boardwalks go but it is safe. Their are plenty of policemen patrolling and there aren't any bums. The variety of food is great, from pizza to subs to...
We went to the jenkinson's beach one morning in the 2001 summer. We never thought we have to pay to get in the beach. Besides, there is no parking available. Some parking lot which we went charged us $30 per day. This is way too expensive. I spent...
Pros: Great destination for adults with or without kids. Cons: Crowded during summertime.
In my opinion, Point Pleasant boardwalk (Jenkinson's) is one of the best around. It's just the right size, pretty clean for the number of people that travel through there and safe. I often see police patrolling the the boardwalk. All of the rides are...
A Perfect Day At The Beach. by aldopignotti ,Sep 27 '05
Pros: Arcades, Tiki Bar, rides, games and minature golf. Cons: a whole day there can be pricey.
My family has been going here for years. They have a very nice little aquarium, a decent Tiki bar right on the beach, arcades, rides, minature golf, games and restaurants. The last time we went, we spent the morning playing in the ocean, we had lunch at the Tiki Bar (I had fried clams and a Pina Colada), and then we spent the afternoon playing in the arcades, going on rides and playing minature golf.
