Pros: Good balance of thrill rides and children's rides; lots to do Cons: Can't do it all
I’m not a thrill-seeker by nature. Until we went to Six Flags-Darien Lakes, in western New York, I hadn’t been to any sort of fair or amusement park in about six years. I don’t like to be scared, so I’m not really sure how man o’ mine talked me...
Pros: Second-tallest ferris wheel in North America at 165 feet Cons: long wait in lines, extra cost rides
If your ever In New York State I know of a fun amusement park for your whole family. Six Flags Darien Lake is full of thrills and adventure. With lots of roller coasters and other rides to choose from with rides just for the kids too. I love the water...
Pros: No lines for the rides ... if you can find a ride that's running! Cons: $7.00 for parking, $10.00 for a "crippled" park, additional charges for other events and rides!
Wow! What could be greater! Only $10.00 to get into a major amusement park! Oh, and being the off season, there's none of those huge lines waiting to get into all of those great rides!
Pros: Five roller coasters, including the Predator, rated by ACE as one of the nation's best Cons: If you go on a weekend, get ready to stand in LOOOOOOOOOONG lines
I'm taking a break from my regular movie reviews for a moment so I can discuss another passion of mine...roller-coasters and amusement parks. Not long ago, every summer, I would make a trek all over the eastern seaboard in search of a new amusement...
Pros: Log ride was fun. Cons: Massive crowds, expensive, some rides down.
It had been twenty years (!!) since I had traveled the New York State Thruway to visit Six Flags Darien Lake. Originally, I attended the amusement park as a college sophomore. Last week I returned as a forty year old mom with a seven year old in tow....
Pros: Everything Cons: Expensive if you don't have a season pass
This is probably the best amusement park that I have been to in a long time. I live about 30 minutes from Darien, so you would think that I go there a lot right? Nope! I haven't been there in about 4 years. I stopped going because I was pregnant, and...
Well I’ve been going to Six Flags Darien Lake since the day I learned to walk… back in the good old days when it was simply known as Darien Lake. Used to go with my whole family, including my little cousins and grandparents. I remember taking class trips...
Pros: Season Pass Cost, Small crowds during off-season, friendly employees Cons: Food cost, Skycoaster cost, hard games, and parking!
It may be a small park... but its a GREAT small park. I have been going ever since I was three years old and have had a season pass every year since. Buying a season pass saves you money even if you were to go to the park ONCE, for several reasons....
I have watched this park evolve greatly during my seventeen years of life. It is safe to say that since Six Flag's bought out Darien Lake the quality of the park has soared. They have added numerous roller coasters and rides, yet the price is still quite...
Pros: Great family fun, great rides! Cons: food is terribly expensive.
Six Flags Darien Lake is a great place for friends as well as family to hang out. I was recently up there. However, I did find a few problems that could be fixed to make Darien Lake a more enjoyable place.
Pros: The roller coasters, The Skycoaster Cons: The Boomerang
Six Flags Darien Lake will always be just Darien Lake to me. It was Darien Lake before I was born and it will be just Darien Lake long after Six Flags bought it.
There, now that I got that off of my chest, on with my review. Darien Lake...
Pros: Superman, Predator, Ferris Wheel Cons: Water park
Visited Darien Lake in August '05, stayed 2 nights in the Lodge. Was impressed with the cleanliness of the Lodge and the park. They also provide you with park coupons for food, go-carts, batting cages, and a few other attractions. You're not gonna save ...
