Pros: Great rides Cons: Long lines on the weekends
There haven’t been many big changes since Six Flags bought Kentucky Kingdom, therefore making it Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom. A couple of new rides have been added, while the names of other rides have been changed. A Warner Brothers store has been...
Pros: great for little kids Cons: long lines, few roller coasters
We decided to go to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom when we were visiting some relatives in Tennessee. Since I have love roller coasters, I could not wait to go. We had season passes since we lived right by Six Flags over Georgia , so it...
Our family vacation this year was to be a quiet one. No DisneyWorld or beach. Just a simple extended stay at Grandma and Grandpa’s home in Louisville. After all, finances were tight and time was limited this year.
Pros: Fun, Kid friendly, not too expensive to get in Cons: Food prices, water park bathrooms
I love Kentucky Kingdom, I go there at least 5 times a year. I guess I love it so much cause it's the closest theme park to me, being only about a 45 minute drive plus I have relatives that live only 2 miles away. LOCATION: I think Kentucky Kingdom ...
Pros: A couple of good coasters Cons: Too many too list -- see full epinion
After watching a coaster special on a cable channel my husband and I were "jones-ing" to catch some G's on a coaster or two. With the closing and disassembling of Opryland here in Nashville we were left with the arduous task of finding the closest theme...
Pros: Twisted Twins and Thunder Run Cons: Long lines, nothing new, horrible layout
Kentucky Kingdom: Louisville, KY

Pros: short lines, great rides, reasonable price admission Cons: expensive food, not much for older visitors to do, horrible during the Fair
Kentucky Kingdom (SFKK from here on out) is one of the smaller Six Flags parks. It just became a Six Flags a couple of years ago, and the effects of national recognition can be seen. I have been going to this park since it opened about 13 years ago, and...
Pros: good family fun Cons: big crowds on summer weekends
My family and I love to go to amusement parks.Last summer we bought season passes. We sure did get out monies worth!
The normal price of admission to the park is about 27 dollars, however for only 40 dollars you can buy a season pass and go...
Pros: mist stations situated around the park, the food Cons: not enough thrill rides, the prices, most rides don't accommodate bigger sized people like me
My husband and I decided to go to Kentucky Kingdom cause we got free tickets through AOL and we hadn't had our honeymoon yet. It was the closest and cheapest thing for us to do so we went. I had never been there before and neither had he but I thought,...
Pros: Kid friendly, season passes that can be used at any Six Flags park Cons: expensive food, long lined for adult rides
Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom is a great place to take the family. I had the summer off this year. My daughter, who is 2 and I had a lot of time together and nothing to do.
I thought she would be too young to go to the park and have any...
Pros: Few good rides Cons: Dirty, Dirty, Dirty, Park hard to find, Dirty, Dirty, Dirty
THIS IS A PIECE I ORIGINALLY WROTE FOR rollercoaster.com IN JUNE OF 1999. PLEASE ENJOY. THIS IS NOT PLAGIARIZED. I WROTE IT, AND THOUGH IT IS POSTED ON rollercoaster.com, IT BELONGS TO ME.
Visiting SFKK in June of 1999, this was my first visit...
I had a chance to go for free and as a result bought season passes for the family! Pros: Looney Tunes Land for Kids (under 48" mostly) Rides options for the little ones throughout park. Includes nice water park. (no charge for lazy river tubes) ...
Pros: Great Coasters
Food was ok with ok prices Cons: Not enough activities besides rides
poor rest areas
Waiting lines slow moving.
I purchased season passes this year without checking the park out first, my mistake, I was expecting a experience like Ive had at other sixflags theme parks and what I felt I received was a first rate carnival experience instead of the great time i had ...
Pros: Twisted Sister Roller coaster was good Cons: Got a while, this could take some time...
Upon our april trip to the Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, we were met by several of our friends from the nashville area, upon entering the park, the parking lot was only about 10% full, this should have been our first clue. When we got to the park gates we...
I chose this theme park being a native resident of kentucky and living close by. My children and myself have season passes which allow us unlimited use through the summer. A season pass can be purchased at anytime through local kroger stores or at the...
Pros: Great discounts, fun, cool roller coasters Cons: extra costs, semi-long lines, not enough shade
My family decided to go to Six Flags yesterday for a day of family fun. We had gone last year in July, and it was hell! Hell primarily because it was 98 degrees without a breeze. There were no water fountains anywhere and none of the lines had any...
Pros: Lots of rides are available. Cons: Some broken rides, park was very littered with trash, and there wasn't enough shade.
There were a lot of thrilling rides, but the park was very crowded. The most disappointing things were the facts that many rides had cars that were broken and unrideable, the park was littered with cigarrette butts, trash, and debris. Some of the rides...
Pros: Inexpensive, nice coasters. Water park on site a definite plus. Cons: None
We took our first trip here Memorial Day weekend. It is about a 3 hour drive form where we live, but I think it was definitely worth it. We purchased season passes for $55 a piece which also includes access to many other Six Flags parks. The park has...
Pros: great rides alot of fun Cons: long lines and hours not that great
I went there two years ago for my honeymoon. It was alot of fun. There was alot for little kids. Rides that they would get alot of enjoyment out of. As for the adults there wasn't that much but what there was was awesome. We loved it. The food is...
Pros: There are NONE!! This theme park is a shame to the state of Kentucky. Cons: I was with a friend, so I couldn't leave early..
My fiance, my mother and step father, and myself just went to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom on 06/21/08 for the first time and will NEVER return. This park needs to be boarded up and condemned. For those who do not know, a young girl got her feet cut off ...
Pros: Pretty good rides, fun experience. Cons: Food pricing, long lines!
I haven't been to a large number of amusement parks, which doesn't give me a lot to compare Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom to. But I, along with the groups I've went with, have had great experiences. First things first...the ride selection is pretty ...
Pros: inexpensive and close to home. Cons: can get to be boring for smaller kids.
it's fun, a lot to do, you do have rides, walks, interesting things to do and see, you don't have to walk all day and stand in line all day and never get to see everything. you do get to go through the park and see what you want. there's things for...
Pros: It has some good rides for the adults. Cons: Not enough rides or water rides for kids.
It has some good rides for adults. But, not enough for the kids. As far as I've seen there is no water rides geared for younger kids. Yes, there is Hurricane Bay. Now that is good. But, I would not recommend the Halloween thing they have. I've been a...
Pros: Great rides, terrific water park. Cons: Food's much too pricey, hard to find entrance.
6 Flags Kentucky Kingdom has some of the best rides in the nation, the Chang, the Batman, Twisted Sisters, and even more. It has the most outstanding water park I have ever been to. 6 Flags Kentucky Kingdom is way under rated. But it does have a few...
Pros: Good rides, friendly workers, and thrills! Cons: Long lines and expensive food (eat before you come).
This is a really great place to go for thrills! It also has a REALLY fun water park (Hurricane Bay). It's great for people of all ages. The best rides in my opinion are Hellevator, Twisted Sisters, Chang, Batman, and Greezed Lightening. I have been 7 times and this Thursday will make my 8th. However I'd have to say Kings Island is much better.
