Universal Studios: "Been There, Done That"

by popsrocks popsrocks is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Hotels & Travel, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Jun 06 '09
Pros: Men-In Black Attack
Cons: Too many retreads
Much too long a walk from parking
I visited Universal Studios about a month or so ago. It was my second full visit after perhaps fifteen years. The first time it was a thrill. This time my reaction was, "Been There, Done That."I suppose a first time visitor will still get that ...

Universial Studios Florida

by donna42mass , Sep 20 '08
Pros: Meal deals, multiple day passes at very reasonable rates
Cons:

The parking fees before 6pm

I just got back from another trip to Orlando Florida. This year we went to Universal Studios. What I like about this theme park is that their prices for admission is fair and generous. I saw a online banner for pay for two days get seven days for 80.98. ...

Universal Studios Rocks

by angie828 , Jul 11 '08
Pros: great family atmosphere, lots of fun, cool rides
Cons: was crowded the day I was there
I loved visiting Universal Studios so much on the day that I was there that I decided to return a few days later. I loved everything about the park. The great atmoshpere, the rides and attractions, everything. My favorite ride at Universal Studios has ...

Universal Studios, a fun park and a great value compared to others.

by boomer46 , Jun 04 '08
Pros: Low cost for on-line tickets, over the top theme park.
Cons: Mel's Diner
The week before Memorial Day (2008), my family and friends (12 of us) from Pennsylvania went to Universal Studios on a Tuesday. We purchased tickets in advance on-line for 2 parks (Islands and Universal) up to 7 consecutive days for about $80 each. ...

Univeral Studios Florida Was Far From Universally Liked

by quasar Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, May 25 '08
Pros: a few fabulous rides and shows
Cons: shows run infrequently, not enough to do, not cohesive, several awful attractions
I made my first trip to Universal Studios after my first trip to Disney World. I had originally been thinking of going back to Disney but room space at the onsite hotels was tight that early December and that scared me. I thought the parks busy enough ...

Not many rides, lots of add-ons

by tylerhaas , Apr 18 '08
Pros: Nice simulations, plenty of characters
Cons: Express pass is annoying, very expensive
I just returned from a vacation to Universal (both Studios and Islands of Adventure, which will be reviewed separately); all in all, a good time, but it's a trip with some caveats. Cons: Universal is expensive. Very expensive. A one-day pass ...

Stay Onsite and Be Spoiled Forever

by inkkognito Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Apr 01 '08
Pros: Express Lines...little or no wait!
Cons: None really.
As a local who lives next door to Disney World, I have to confess: Universal Studio has drawn me away. How did they accomplish the difficult feat of winning me over from the Mouse? It's simple: Express Pass Lines. As a local, I have a different ...

Pros: Variety of things to do
Cons: nothing
Universal Studios Orlando a great park for everyone We visited Universal Orlando in August 2007. This was my first time at Universal, my husband went once before but that was a few years ago. We also brought along our 2 year old son. The main ...

Great Park for Movie fans.

by elmelautumn , Feb 20 '08
Pros: Some air conditioned rides and several air conditioned waiting areas.
Cons: Cost - We spent about $150 per person.
We went in June. Which of course meant that the heat was unbearable. We bought the EZPASS which was well worth the money. Although it is kind of embarrassing to walk past an elderly person or a person with a baby and jump to the front of the ...

Universal Studios Florida is a Smash Hit, Even with this Disney Devotee.

by chelledun chelledun is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Hotels & Travel, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Jan 02 '08
Pros: Really, really great attractions.
Cons: Tremendously expensive with Express pass, long waits without.
As one coming from a loyal Disney family who is married to a former Disney employee, I had some trepidation going into my day at Universal Studios Orlando. No way, I thought, could this theme park possibly live up to the fabulousness of the parks ...

Just returned from Universal Studios

by bpfootball , Dec 11 '07
Pros: Lot's to see. Plenty of shows to keep your interest. A few good rides.
Cons: Toon Lagoon is way outdated and needs to be changed.
It was a great experience that cost a lot less than Disney. But totally different parks. Universal does not require multiple days if it is not crowded. If it is crowded then I strongly recommend the express pass. They hide the lines everywhere. Just when ...

Annual Passholder's Perspective (Halloween Horror Nights Included!)

by ferres , Sep 26 '07
Pros: Great immersive rides.
Cons: Not a coaster park. Most re-rides aren't gratifying due to lack of surprises.
I’ve had an annual pass since February and I’ve experienced absolutely everything at Universal. Well…except for the Barney show. I've just experienced the first two days of Halloween Horror Nights. So, I am going to start off this ...

Universal Studios a Winner

by mumbalumbagus , Jul 05 '07
Pros: The best thing was the quality of both the rides and the shows. Great memories!
Cons: The only downside of the whole trip was paying top dollar for everything.
Fabulous trip! With 3 teenage sons, a pre-teen daughter, and mixed expectations, our family ventured to Orlando for the first time at the end of June. We bought two-day multi-park tickets and visited Islands of Adventure one day, Universal Studios ...

Universal Studios...Great place to visit...

by cyndyrella , Jun 29 '07
Pros: Everything right there, so much to do
Cons: wear your sneakers, a lot of walking
Had so much fun there. But did dread that awful "Cruella De Ville". she was looking for her puppies. When she asked us to tell her if we saw them, my daughter said "Ok", but we did not look too hard for them! That evil woman. Then we hit the "Slim ...
