Pros: Lots to see, exciting Cons: Costly
Introduction Although not part of the Disney experience, Universal Studios Florida is very comparable to the Disney MGM Studios visit. With rides, attractions, and places to eat, you get everything except Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. Since ...

Pros: Fun places to go Cons: It gets very hot there
My trip to Orlando was one trip I will never forget. It was not only fun but adventurous. We arrived in Orlando at around 5:00 in the evening. Our hotel was on international drive where everything was. On the first night, we went to Ripley's. That...

Pros: a few fabulous rides and shows Cons: shows run infrequently, not enough to do, not cohesive, several awful attractions
I made my first trip to Universal Studios after my first trip to Disney World. I had originally been thinking of going back to Disney but room space at the onsite hotels was tight that early December and that scared me. I thought the parks busy enough ...

Pros: Excellent simulators, attention to detail in different themed sections. Heaven for a modern movie fan. Cons: With several closed attractions, the park can seem rather shabby. Violent rides, some indifferent employees.
I had last been to Universal Orlando in the summer of 1993, when the park was new, and I was young and single. It took me 10 years to get back to the Orlando area, as a married father of a 4 year old girl. Though we were on a Disney vacation (staying on ...

Pros: Fun rides suitable for everyone, excellent theming, great live shows Cons: Not for thrill seekers (try IOA), long wait lines
One of the most famous theme parks in the U.S., Universal Studios Florida has really earned the name theme, getting many rides based on some of the most famous movie licences. Not only is Universal Studios a wonderfully designed theme park, it's got...

Pros: Great immersive rides. Cons: Not a coaster park. Most re-rides aren't gratifying due to lack of surprises.
Ive had an annual pass since February and Ive experienced absolutely everything at Universal. Well
except for the Barney show. I've just experienced the first two days of Halloween Horror Nights. So, I am going to start off this ...

Pros: Express Lines...little or no wait! Cons: None really.
As a local who lives next door to Disney World, I have to confess: Universal Studio has drawn me away. How did they accomplish the difficult feat of winning me over from the Mouse? It's simple: Express Pass Lines. As a local, I have a different ...

Pros: Fun for Adults! An Alternative to the "Mouse" Cons: I drank four Margaritas that day!
We spent our first day in Florida at Universal Studios, arriving there at about 11am on Sunday. Our son is one of the Park's managers, so we were eager to tour the attractions that bring people in from all over the world. We had been to Disney World...

Pros: Baby-swap areas Cons: Too many to list
Upon planning a short weekend over to Orlando, my husband I decided to check out Universal Studios as we had not been there before. We arrived at the park right at 9 a.m., the park does advertise that they open at 9. We dropped off our dog in the...

I recently took a trip to the new Islands of Adventure at Universal Studios and it was a huge blast! The rides were amazing, the lands were fantastic and the food was... well, edible.

Pros: great kids playland Cons: expensive food
We have the seasonal passes that allow us to go to both parks. It is a really great deal. With the hot weather upon us, it makes a nice afternoon jaunt for the kids. I thought I'd share some of my discoveries.
Parking: When you go up the...
