Pros: State of the Art Hulk Coaster, Dueling Dragons Inverted Coasters. Cons: Inordinately Expensive compared to Theme Parks of Better Reputation and Quality
I have been to Universal Studios IOA 3 times now, all in the first 3 months of 2003. The reason that I return is to enjoy the state of the art Hulk coaster.
The Hulk uses massive amounts of electricity to propel the cars upward on the initial...

Pros: Dueling Dragons, Margaritaville, great park for adults and children. Cons: Adventures of Spiderman breaking down twice.
Eight of us spent one wonderful day at Islands of Adventure. Two of us had been there before but the other 6 had not, so needless to say it was quite a day for first timers. If you are new to roller coasters or a seasoned veteran, there is something ...

Pros: Universal does it again..fun for all ages Cons: same game, overpriced food
We ventured to Islands of Adventures, even though we're not roller coaster Enthusiasts. Did we have fun? You bet.
Islands of Adventure is set up in a large circle, so you can go left to right, or right to left, you'll see it all.
There...

Pros: Thrill rides that will make you in need of a fresh pair of underwear. Cons: Not enough rides, too many gift shops, food not good.
My wife and I went on the 15th and 18th of Sep 2003. The crowds were not bad at all. Both times we rode the Hulk Coaster we basically walked right on up and hopped in. The longest wait we had was with the Spiderman ride, about 15-ish minutes I guess. ...

Pros: Fun, clean, great for tweeners and above
Express Tickets Cons: expensive, ride directions not marked well
We went spring break 2003. It was crowded, but the people in the park told me it wasn't bad compared to summer. The best advice I got about this park (either on this site or on another site ) was to head to Spiderman immediately upon opening. We...

Pros: amazing attention to detail, lots to do for all ages Cons: expensive, some rides not in operation
Our first trip to Islands of Adventure was very impressive. The attention to detail in the different themed areas was amazing. The park is very well layed out in a circle around a lake. Made it hard to get lost, even for me! We have a 7 yr old who just ...

Pros: Great Theming, Good Coasters, Innovative Rides, Better Than Disney, Express Plus Cons: Crowds
Being a coaster enthusiast I was really excited about going to Islands of Adventure. After my trip, I believe that IoA is the 2nd best amusement park in the country (after Cedar Point of course) and the best park in Orlando. The park is brilliantly ...

Pros: Thrill rides abound. Great theming. Cons: Expensive, Express Pass annoys.
I just returned from a vacation to Universal (both Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios, which will be reviewed separately); all in all, a good time, but it's a trip with some caveats. Cons: Universal is expensive. Very expensive. A ...

Pros: This is thrill seekers paradise bar none. Cons: The summer time lines are long.
How can I state this? I LOVE IOA. My family and I have been to IOA every year since it’s opening. We are now buying annual passes to go in both the summer and Christmas time.
It all starts for me when I step off of the last moving sidewalk and...

Pros: Spiderman is the best ride ever made...anywhere! Cons: The longest lines you'll ever experience...anywhere! Also, it's too expensive.
Here's the deal...it's just not a good park. If you MUST go to Universal, spend your money on the original park instead of Islands of Adventure.
The lines are incredibly long, and I mean that literally...the lines were built to be (what...

Pros: The Spiderman ride was a great 3D presentation! Cons: The Grinch attraction person pulled my hair and insulted my family!
We went to Islands of adventure to have a good time and ride a few roller-coasters on our trip to Orlando... First before I begin I must point out that I've never complained on a forum about anything. I searched for a forum to complain about my ...

Pros: Not as many rides as Disney. Only about five rides actually appeal to adults. Cons: The roller coaster capitol of Central Florida!
The important thing to remember when you arrive at Universal Studios is that there are two very different parks. If you want to "ride the movies" then go to the right. Universal Studios (original recipe) will provide you with a number of fairly tame...
