The Alaska Zoo specializes in Alaskan animals and is a bit small, but well done. Some animals are caged, but others are in natural enclosures. They have a great Polar Bear exhibit and a nice wolf exhibit. They were showing off wolf pups when we were there in June. They have extended hours some days in the summer (after all it stays light most of the night in the summer).
