Pros: Very educational and interesting; highly recommend! Cons: Do not go during the warmer months! It gets hot out there!
This is a different kind of zoo. It is part zoo and part natural park. We got to see a lot of desert animals that would not be found in a typical zoo. Different types of desert environments are featured. We were able to walk through them and be up close to the desert plants (cacti). Very nice place! Eye-opening for people who come from the cities. Best time of the year to visit this place would be in the winter or cooler months. We went in October and it was in the mid to high eighties. A bit warm since everything is outside. Oh, yes, bring comfortable walking shoes. Lots of walking.
