Pros: Lots to see and learn about. Cons: Food is expensive.
The San Diego zoo is a fabulous place to spent the day in the winter. We went in January, and it was like Spring! They have exotic plants all over the zoo! Everything was green and healthy!
The zoo is huge! It will take you a full day to...

As soon as I found out I'd be visitin San Diego, I knew the San Diego Zoo would be on my "to do" list. I'd heard great things about this park on TV and from friends...and I was NOT disappointed! It was by far one of the nicest, cleanest, most...

Pros: Great for the family Cons: All zoo's smell
I recently took my six year old son to the San Diego Zoo, and we had a wonderful time. We went in May on a weekday, and it wasn't crowded at all. The exhibits are wonderful and the animals are in clean, well kept cages, and areas.
I love the...

Pros: lots of animals Cons: a few steep hills to walk
I was toold by a friend to visit this zoo, that it would be the best zoo that I had ever been to. My friend was right.
Animals in sections of the park clearly tell you where you want to go to see what animals. Plus there are two ways to see...

Pros: A bus ride is available for a fee, for those who can not walk distances. Cons: You can not visit often enough to see it all!
Old Zoos too often seem dismal and neglectful. Their simple cages annoying the best of us who cherish our own family pets. The San Diego zoo is leaving this image far behind them.
How can we describe this zoo except as MODERN? I was struck...

Pros: The zoo is big. Cons: The zoo is big.
This is one big zoo. It is only 1/10th the size of the Wild Animal Park which is 35 miles of it, but since one walks around the zoo, it's plenty big.
The zoo is divided into various areas such as "Horn and Hoof Mesa" where you can go for...

Pros: great habitats, panda, hippos, gorillas! Cons: ummmm....I'm thinking.....
Well I finally made it to the granddaddy of zoos! I spent four hours last Tuesday at the “World Famous” (well, the sign says so!) San Diego Zoo and was not disappointed! A friendly Coronado cab driver handed me a two dollar off coupon as he...

Pros: The bus tour is an education and entertaining Cons: None
If you want to see animals, and be able to get a close up take the the Zoo Bus Tour. When you arrive at the ticket booth, take the deluxe package rather than the cheaper entrance. Better than that if you are going to be in San Diego for 5 or more days,...

Pros: All the great animals Cons: Not enough time in a day to get it all in
We took our little 23 mos old baby boy yesterday and he really enjoyed it. He had been before, but he was younger.
Every time that we go there is so much to see, never get to see everything... not enough time in a day.
When we got...

Pros: The park has been renovated for the better. Cons: None.
I had just visited the zoo this past August after fourteen years of not going. My friend was with me. The last time I visited was on July 19, 1987 and at that time, the zoo was under renovation, but it was still opened to the public.
So...

Pros: Pandas, Polar Bears Cons: rushed through the Panda Exhibit, may have too many hills for some
Last June, my husband got transfer orders to San Diego, California. We sat our two children down and explained to them where we would be moving and then proceeded to tell them about all the fun places we could go once we got to San Diego. Of course,...
