Pros: Big mountain skiing, Canadian $ Cons: You can get to Europe in less time from the east coast.
As an east-coaster, I don't get a chance to ski the west often, but I finally made it out to Whister. What a blast!
First, the place is a bit overwhelming. The mountains are BIG (especially compared to anything in the east) and there are a...

Pros: Large area, cheap Canadian prices Cons: Too low, poorly laid out
After seeing it take the top honors in the ski magazine polls every year, I had high hopes for this place. I came away disappointed.
The mountain *is* enormous, I'll grant. The snow can be quite good, and factoring in the exchange rate the...

Pros: Awesome atmosphere Cons: Too many bad skiers all over
I've been to whistler-blackcomb on many occasions and now I know why it is the best ski resort in North America. Whistler and Blackcombs terrain is so awesome. If you are a beginner you can stick to the Emerald chair on Whistler or if your an expert you...

Pros: Variety, beautiful Cons: Can be expensive
Great steep well moguled double diamond trails, easily assessable, large (If often overused) backcountry, some reasonable glade skiing all right next to novice and family oriented groomed hills. Whistler and Blackcomb offer a variety of all...

Pros: Great world class resort that offers great terrains for skiers and wonderful resort experience Cons: Be careful of 3rd-party travel agents (Internet/non-Internet) when making reservations.
Whistler is a great place to ski. After I have been there, there are a few places that I could compare it to. Transportation is convenient from/to the airport, there is much to do in the ski town, the Canadian/US currency exchange rate makes this place ...

Pros: Good snow, nice lifts and gondolas, nice taverns, clubs. Cons: Expensive. Long walk through village to lifts .Some American-hating help in stores, and restaurants.
I will leave the review of skiing to others, as I am not an expert skier. I am quite experienced at noticing a rapid drain on my wallet though, which did happen during my trip. There are a few things I did which saved me money, and some things I ...

Pros: Whistler/Blackcomb is known to be the largest resort in the world. Cons: The city of Whistler is an expensive area.
Whether or not you take your skiing or snowboarding seriously, Whistler/Blackcomb is a special place. Since the two mountains combined to form one resort, it has become the largest resort in the world. The city of Whistler is an expensive and ritzy...

Pros: The childcare facilities, our four year old had a ball. Cons: The deceptively bluish tinge of the green runs.
As visitors to Canada and beginner's, my wife and two kids (4 and 6) had high expectations and were bitterly disappointed. The snow depth was not particularly good (apparently) approx. 75cm. a number of green runs were cut off (not so bad if they tell ...

Pros: Great Place, Great People Cons: I had to come home
Whistler Mountain has everything any Skier could ever need.
Patient and experienced instructors for all ages. The Kids seemed to be having so much fun.
A good mix of runs, a nice gentle place to learn and also some very hairy black runs...

Pros: The drive from Vancouver to Whistler is magnificent Cons: No blue skies and lots of rain
My husband and I have skied all over the world; so, we were glad to finally make a trip to Whistler. However, the trip did not live up to our expectations. Frankly, I don't know how Whistler is rated the best ski resort in North America. In North...

Pros: More runs than anybody can ride. Excellent snow. Service. Terrain. Lots 'O' powder! Cons: Accessibility. The road to Whistler is an adventure. Do the speed limit...please!
With 200+ runs, Whistler/Blackcomb is truly number one. It's organization is beyond compare. With full service villages at the base of both mountains (which are side by side) it is easy to find what you need. There are approximately 30% beginner runs,...

Pros: Beautiful, Challenging, Fun Cons: Getting there
Whistler is the most incredible place I've ever spent a winter. To maximize the experience, try staying in a cozy cottage type of resort. Drink hot cocoa and snuggle with your loved ones. Make snow angels and take pictures. Take ski lessons and challenge...

Pros: Great slopes for all levels, awesome village for evening time. Cons: EXPENSIVE!
In Seattle you hear about Whistler all the time, so I was so excited when my friend and I planned a trip up there. The hotels are pretty nice, but you wont spend a whole lot of time in them. The village outside of the hotels is so fun and pretty and...

Pros: best mountain ever, beautiful, great scenery Cons: very big and can get lost easily of you don't stick together
HI,
My trip to Whistler Blackcomb was unbelievable, definately the best resort out there. I loved the diversity of the mountain, it was for all ski levels. Many challenging runs but also many spectacular blues for the newer skiier. The next...
