Pros: Very inexpensive lift tickets (31 Euro per day); Fabulous scenery.
Cons: Poor snow; Difficult slope access; does not compare to U.S. or Canada.

Summary: When did you visit this resort? March 8 - 16, 2002. What did you love or hate about it? Don't go to Cortina for a skiing vacation. The skiing is only marginal. Last week we arrived and skied on the cusp of High-Low season and there was ... read more

Pros: Quaint town, short lines, great sweeping trails, extra adventures.
Cons: Growth killing quaintness, could use more trails and lifts for easier access.

  • Overrated & Boring!

Pros: Beautiful scenery, not too busy on the non-learner slopes and ski-lifts
Cons: No apres ski at all, no nightlife, small selection of slopes, poor piste markings

Summary: The snowboarding was OK but not too many slopes to choose from in Cortina (& snowboarding is not very popular here). Bought an expensive Dolomiti Superski pass but hardly used it as the nearest resorts of a size worth visiting are just too far away.
