Pros: Big, big, big mountain with lots of snowfall and a challenging selection of runs, affordable Cons: Hwy 395 is borriinng, not for night life lovers
Summary: Mammoth is Southern California's mountain. Most of the folks who ride here live in LA, OC or SD and make the long drive up 395. If you are flying in to Tahoe/Reno there are other closer resorts, so Mammoth goes a little under the national radar.
