by texas-swede texas-swede is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Hotels & Travel, , Jan 06 '09
Pros: Not too expensive, not snobby, good trail layout, good family skiing, and affordable ski-in-ski-out.
Cons: Crowded, especially the QuickSilver Super6
I have been skiing mostly in Europe; however, I have also skied in the United States, including Beaver Creek, four times in Breckenridge, and also at some smaller places. If you want to see my ...

by poseidon Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Mar 16 '01
Pros: Very nice terrain. Lots of options for all levels of skiing. Good free parking.
Cons: Crowds. Crowds. Crowds. Crowds.
Recently my local news station broadcast that Breckenridge is the most popular ski resort in the United States. Frankly, that has always surprised me.

Part of me doesn’t want to even write this article. I would love to see people continue to...

by vara Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 200, Mar 20 '00
Pros: Most popular resort in CO. Good snow. Nice town.
Cons: Most popular resort in CO. Expensive gifts and dining. More oxygen would be nice. =)
Even though I live in San Antonio, TX, I still manage to go skiing at least once a year in Colorado. I have been to Winter Park, Snowmass, Aspen, Purgatory, Keystone, and Vail.
My family and I went to Breckenridge for Spring Break to...

Breckenridge is likable

by miltapher , Aug 11 '09
Pros: Big mountain with lots to do, cool town, and close to other ski areas
Cons: owned by Vail, Windy and Flat, crowded during peak times
Breckenridge is often associated with annoying Texans  and wind.  I spent an entire year in the town of Breck and I have well over 100 days spent on the mountain.  There is more here than meets the eye and Breck aint that bad f...

by Schinjay , Apr 12 '00
Pros: A great place to take a family skiing!
Cons: Its not free!
Man, this crazy world is just whirring around me too fast for my mind to keep up with. I'm going to close my eyes, lean way back, and transport myself back to Breckenridge, Colorado. We spent a magical white Christmas there last year.

Whoaa!...

loving breckenridge in "mud season"

by ajlehm01 , Oct 15 '04
Pros: beautiful location, wonderful town, lots to do and see year-round
Cons: minor things at the resort
My husband, 19 mo daughter and I travelled to Breckenridge in early October, which is during "mud season"--in between summer and ski seasons. It is not a peak travel time, and it was obvious--no crowds, lots of special deals around town. First, let ...

Breckenridge: More Like Break in Ride

by giovagn , Oct 20 '99
Pros: It's Close to Keystone and Copper
Cons: Crowds , Flat Sneaks up on Snowboarders,
Breckenridge is consistently in the top three most visited Colorado resorts. With the introduction of the Buddy Pass ($249 season pass available to Keystone, Breckenridge and A-Basin) last year, skier visits multiplied exponentially. This was clearly...

Pros: Beautiful countryside!
Cons: Don't try to be a pro!

Pros: Amazing skiing and tons of it
Cons: Pricey
WHY BRECK?
A friend of mine and I decided to go out west for a week of skiing. She knew people who were going to be at Vail (which was out of our price range), so we decided to go to Breck. I was pushing for it. When I was younger, I went...

A good destination resort

by dbronstein , Dec 30 '99
Pros: A lot of terrain, plenty of high-speed lifts, fun town
Cons: Lack of expert terrain, difficult for day trips
If you're a beginner/intermediate planning a ski trip, Breck is tough to beat. It has everything you'd want in a destination resort.

The ski area rises above town on the west side. There is a lot of terrain spread over three mountains -...

The nuts and bolts of Breck

by kristenulmer , Dec 02 '99
Pros: cool funky town, fun people, great food
Cons: the skiing blows- too many moguls- very hardpacked

BRECKENRIDGE

Breckenridge is made of four peaks; Seven, Eight, Nine and Ten. Which leads us to the obvious question, what ever happened to 1-6?

No matter, Breckridge is huge. The lifts rise 3398 vertical feet, but the...

by RROYBLAKE , May 25 '00
Pros: Scary Icy Driving in the Wintertime
Cons: Wonderful and Interesting in the Summer
