Pros: Great terrain Cons: Gets fairly busy
I have been skiing at all but a few resorts in Colorado over the years and Breckenridge is one of my favorite places. The resort offers a wide variety of trails that are open for advanced skiers. Lift lines at the bottom of the mountain are relatively...

Pros: Great snow, huge resort Cons: Can be pretty expensive
I noticed that many of the epinions posted for Breck are from last season. I just thought I'd do a quick update. So far I've been twice this season (to Breck). I've skied there for quite sometime and I've always had a great time.
As far as snow...

Pros: EXCELLENT!! Cons: NONE
I recently visited Breckenridge. It was the experience of a life time. There was all kinds of snow, from powder to moguls. It was very very good. Also, the lift operators were friendly so they made any wait you had to indure a very quick and painless...

Pros: wide variety of slopes, cordial people, town, ski school Cons: price
Last spring, I was fortunate enough to spend spring break with my friends in a condominium in Breckenridge, Colorado. I was also fortunate enough to ski at, in my opinion, one of the best ski resorts in the nation. Now I am not an experienced skier,...

Pros: Something for every level of skier. Cons: A little difficult to navigate.
We just got back from a Monday through Friday stay with 3 days of skiing at Breckenridge/Keystone. We could have used Arappaho (sp) Basin and Vail but decided to stay close to the condo.
While we had some problems adjusting to the altitude...

Pros: Wonderful place to learn to ski/snowboard Cons: may not be as great for the Advanced + skier
About 9 years ago I learned to ski at Breckenridge. It was a really great experience. I grew up in Colorado and never learned to ski until I was 17. I found the teachers to be strong, caring and skilled.
As time went on I visited...

Pros: Close prox. to copper mountain, keystone and beaver creek, and you can ski on the same pass. Cons: no snow in the summer
I have been skiing in breckenridge almost every year since 1977!
I have been to the others, vail, steamboat, a-basin, copper mountain,
etc. But there's something about Breckenridge that just makes you want to come back. It must be all of the...

Pros: Incredible venue Cons: Not enough time to enjoy everything.
I visited a slope-side resort 2 years ago in Breckenridge. It was actually my first time to ever ski. I took the lessons, but flunked ski school; when I got to the top of the run, I was unstoppable!
What I loved about the resort? It was 5...

Pros: Fast Lifts, fair prices, well groomed Cons: bad for more experinced skiers and boarders
As a resident of Colorado, i have skied almost all of the ski resorts within a 4 hour drive from me. Breckenridge is a nice resort, with fast lifts, nice snow, and wide trails. I grew up skiing the slopes of Breckenridge, but now i find that it is a...

Pros: It is very beautiful Cons: You will be very sad when you leave Breckenridge.
Breckenridge has great trails and excellent snow quality. They have an excellent staff. The ski patrol is always friendly and helpful. It is very different from Vale Nevado (Chile) and Alpe d'Huez (France). In Vale Nevado and Alpe d'Huez it is very...

Pros: Heavenly powder, short lift lines up top, a wide variety of lodging and price ranges. Cons: Expensive airline tickets to Denver.
After learning to ski in Vermont, my family decided to try the famous Colorado powder. Our first Colorado ski trip started just a couple of hours north of Denver at Brekenridge. Breckenridge is a modern ski resort town, complete with ice skating rink,...

Pros: Excellent skiing wiith a real town Cons: High altitude
Breckenridge was bought in 1998 by Vail which is expanding it and putting millions of dollars into making it even better. That aside, Breck has, IMHO, most other ski resorts beat because of snow conditions, variety of skiing, longer ski season, and most...
