Pros: Huge resort, tons of slopes, for the whole family, ski lifts around the entire mountain Cons: nothing else to do, but ski
Last spring break i spent a week in Breckenridge, and it makes me sad to think about it, since it was the most fun I've ever had skiing. The resort and slopes were huge, and since there wasn't alot of people there, the slopes were empty. Even towards...
I went to breckenridge last year and let me tell you, skiing there is one of the best that I have ever witnessed. The slops range from easy kiddy slopes to double black diamond bowls. The challenge is always there even if you are an expert, so no matter...
As a kid I visited this great ski resort many times. The ski school is
excellent for those first timers. This resort has the creme de la creme
of skiing, entertainment, food, and overall good time. Like most well
known ski resorts it...
Pros: great bargain, great skiing, great area & real town Cons: high altitude
Until the end of April 30 each year, you can purchase a "Colorado-Pass" season ski pass for the remainder of the year and the following year at bargain rates. When first issued in 1997,, they sold for $200 which was raised to $249 and $299. There are...
Pros: Slopes of all levels Cons: Takes a few weeks for the snow to get going
I have made four vacations out to Breckenridge over the past several years, and it is possibly the best place for families and intermediates to enjoy recreational skiing. Its location is excellent because you can easily drive to Copper Mountain, Veil ,...
Breckinrigde though smaller than Vail and Aspen is still offers some of the best skiing and shopping in all of colorado. For starters the skiing is wide ranging from begginers to expert but does lack some of the more extreme terain. But what...
I went to Breckenridge, CO over spring break and loved it! It was my first time skiiing so I was a little worried about people getting mad at me, but everyone was extremely cautious and courteous. I loved the view, the snow, and everything else...
This place gets a lot of snow, has a mountain, and has places to eat. But so does Vermont. I was not very impressed by Breckenridge, and I really think it could have been a lot better. I went there with some friends, and the difficulty levels of the...
in all of the west, the best snowboard park ever built. hosting contests and tours, this park caters to all levels of riders. after living in colorado for 4 years, breck would be the place for families, students, tourists, and friends anywhere. for a...
Pros: Location, snow, slopes Cons: Adjusting to climate differences
I visited Breckenridge with a group of students. I was impressed with all aspects of the community and was particularly impressed with our hotel, the Breckenridge Hilton. Also I saw all ages of people skiing on the variety of slopes offered on the...
Pros: Lots of trails, lots of lifts, all types of skiiers/boarders welcome. Cons: Long lift lines at the beginning of the day, Expensive lodge food(of course). about 2-3 hours away from Denver
The first time that i went to Breckenridge was in January last year. It was awesome! i had the best time of my life there! The night before i went, it must have snowed 2 feet in one night! all the trails were not groomed yet, so there was lots of powder....
Pros: Looks nice at night Cons: VACATIONERS BOTHER THEM
Being a part of a group of 24 that just returned from 7 days in Breckenridge, I just wanted to comment on how rude and inconsiderate the town of Breckenridge is....several of our party (6) were "flipped off" because of ..???...our driving in a new ...
Pros: Too many to mention Cons: cant think of anything bad to say
Have just returned from Breckenridge after having spend 10 days skiing 4-14 April 07, great resort lots of character, more then enough runs to keep the average skiing family entertained for a week, there are plenty of runs that also kept my 15 year old action man son occupied and challenged, whilst we were there we had fresh snow on at least 7 days, loads of accommodation to choose from, the same applies to the selection of places to eat in the evenings, another great attraction is the opportunity to ski other resorts using the same lift pass and free shuttle buses. All in all highly recommend Breckenridge to anyone considering it for a skiing holiday.
Pros: Actual town not a town built on a resort. History. Too many activities to list. Cons: Some resturants can be expensive.
My family goes to Breckenridge quite often. Any time of year there is usually some king of festival or event that is fun for the whole family. The skiing is fantastic as long as you avoid the big holiday weekends, Presidents Day, etc... In the summer, it is difficult to decide what activity to do next because there is so much to do. Spring is good but the fall is georgeous. The weather is perfect in the fall an the colors are amazing. This is the perfect location for a great family getaway!
Breck review: from POWDERESCAPE.COM by ccorrao ,Jan 27 '06
Pros: Perfect little town, diverse terrain, easy to get to. Now with some needed advanced terrain. Cons: Crowded on the weekends, snowboarders beware of sneaky flats. WINDY!
Breckenridge might just be Colorado's perfect ski town. A picture perfect historic main street lined with beautifully preserved Victorian buildings, now transformed into a ski town with all of the amenities of a great resort. On the mountain is an intermediates dream. Long winding cruisers make up the majority of the mountain. This year Breck opened a new lift to the top of the mountain, the Imperial Express Super Chair - this is the highest chairlift in North America at 12,840 ft! This opens up 400 acres of expert and extreme terrain and adds over 900 feet of vertical. This is why Breckenridge literally has something for everyone, moving it up on our list to #8.
