Summary: I was at Big Sky in December of 2002. even by the middle of december there was almost no new snow, we had to get by on artificial stuff. Resort does have plenty of snow guns to put a good cover on the selected runs.

Good terrain for all levels. Cons: Not the hospitality of other resorts.
Flying into Bozeman is difficult and expensive.

Pros: No lines. Cool lifties. Endless terrain. Downright scary runs. Remote. Cons: Nightlife hot-spots not obvious to tourists. Not open year-round.
