Pros: offers some variety for the advanced skier
Cons: not many beginner slopes, farther drive than most other mountains
For years I have heard both the advertisements and happy clients claim that Elk Mountain is the best skiing mountain in all of Pennsylvania. Two weeks ago, I finally got up there to check it out for myself.

Pros: Not overly expensive, Not very crowded
Cons: Slow lifts, Not much night skiing terrain

Pros: Great snow. Wide open trails. No crowds!
Cons: Different rules for skiers and snowboarders. Distance - Elk is hella far away.

Pros: Great skiing conditions, friendly service, low ticket costs, small crowd.

Pros: great trails, friendly people, good prices, fun for any level of skier
Cons: way out in the country of northeastern Pennsylvania, not quite comparable to the "famous" ski resorts out there
