Gary Sinese did a spectacular job!

Pros: Gary Sinese made the character new and exciting. Cons: The woman who played the Nurse did not make her as strong of a character.
I saw this back in March 2001 presented by Steppenwolf Theatre Company. It was wonderful. I was so excited that I was able to get tickets since it was in limited run. Gary Sinese brought a old character new life. I thought that no one could fill Jack Nicholson's shoes, but I was corrected. Gary made the character his own and did not rely on the stereotype of the main character. The only downfall is that the woman who played the nurse did not get into character and make the nurse the strong protagonist that she is supposed to be. If it came back to Broadway I would go back to see it.
