Pros: Nice Sale guys
Cons: Unsafe Vehicles
They don't bother to check to see that their cars are even safe to drive. My mom went through about 7 or 8 cars in a period of 4 weeks. They ARE very nice, sure, but they cant give her back precious time or her life for that matter in an unsafe car. The windshield wipers were inoperable, the engine light came on after a few days in another car. The list of things like that went on. No joke. Whats worse is this enterprise was in a Honda Dealership so you think they would service the cars.

Search another car rental if you don't want to loose extra bucks

Pros: Pickup and good condition of car
Cons: Be sure to pay more than expected.
These guys will keep few points aside and will tell you those only at the time of billing. I had to pay $100 more for $100 car rental. The insurance was sold to me like a marketing person which i say is bad customer service. The price was never disclosed.
Never deal with enterprise or be ready to loose few additional bucks from your credit card.

DECEPTIONS!

Pros: conventient to FRAUD
Cons: OUT RAGEOUS TAKEONS< RECOVERY and USE FEES!!!!!!
On a recent trip to Ft Lauderdale we booked a car through AirportRentals.com for a car rental from Enterprise. It was so reasonable for 8 days!!! Only $239.00 (*if it is too good to be true...it IS!)
The long story short is i was pressured about upgrading and insurance...having brought my policy from home i said No to everything but returning on emepty amd having them fill it at very reasonable gas price.
The car rental is only accessable by shuttle BUS ...
Upon returning and in a hurry...i signed receipt and then i realized just how OUTRAGEOUS ALL the charges were once i was home and had time to think about it, did up the very , very small receipt....
Above and beyond the $239.00, i was charged $19.99 a DAY for WHAT i don't know....and 2 Recovery charges, and AIRport USE rental, license fees and ANY con and RIP off
you can think of.....You guessed it, the TOTAL $436.00
DO NOT RENT from these DECEPTIVE PEOPLE!!!! The quote
is just a come on.

Great Enterprise Experience!

Pros: Quick, friendly service; good vehicle; overall a positive experience.
Cons: A Kia Rio was an "intermediate" sized car!?! Still drove fine and suited our needs.
My wife and I flew from Phoenix to Minneapolis for a conference in late January (we're gluttons for punishment). We went with Enterprise and were VERY happy with the service. There was a polite person who greeted us at the Enterprise desk, showed us all the cars available in our range, and had us out of there in no time. We had no problems whatsoever with our car. When we returned the process took less than 5 minutes to have the car checked back in.

I cannot speak for any other location, but the folks at the Enterprise at Minneapolis/St. Paul airport do a fantastic job. I highly recommend them.

Pros: The men in the office were polite.
Cons: Stay away from Enterprise, don't leave your car in an after hours location.
Don't rent from Enterprise, and if you do, make sure you take photos of the car as you pick it up and when you return it. NEVER NEVER leave the car in a before hours location. I did this and then Enterprise called me a week later to say the car had 2000. in damages. The car was in perfect condition when I left it.
Enterprise immediately turned this over to a collection agency. They screwed up my credit rating. My insurance co paid 1500. and now I am out 500. as well. We have never seen any evidence that there was any damage to the car whatsoever.
Stay away from Enterprise!!!

The worst rental company

I rented a car from Enterprise couple of weeks ago. While driving on the Expressway I had a flat tire, Ok this could happen to anyone, I go open the trunk the was no spare tire!!!. Ok I guess someone made an honest mistake. I called there so called 24 hour road side assistance for which I had to pay for and never got the promised refund. I had to wait 1:45 min for the towing truck to get to me. and now the worst part they send me a $400 bill stating there was a dent on the door(which was never there at least before it got towed). I hope my experience will stop you from renting from these rip-offs.

Enterprise really thinks they own the Enterprise.

Pros: Prices are cheap.
Cons: Often do not have the car size you reserve.
After speaking to Enterprise and asking specifically if they could pick us up as there advertisement states, they would not pick us up. The particular Enterprise I used has stipulates as to the time and days they do this, yet they don't care to tell you that when you ask. They did not have the car I reserved, and almost refused to upgrade.

Orlando (MCO) Airport Enterprise

Pros: Price - maybe
Cons: Too far and too long to go to the off-airport site. Deceptive practices.
Although I usually use Enterprise Rent a car all the time due to better prices, I would NOT recommend the Enterprise in Orlando (MCO).

The shuttle ride takes over 15-20 minutes as it is over 7 miles away.

Second, the rentacar salesperson was deceptive and signed me up for all these unusual charges that I kept on saying no to. Last, but not least, it took me 10-15 minutes to drop off the car and be on my way. They took a while checking cars in. Don't waste your time!

Cons: Doesn't offer one-way travel.
Enterprise is not truly a network of locations. Each place is independently owned and operated. Because of this, you must return the car to the same location you picked it up from. This makes for pretty restrictive traveling.

I fly into an airport and drive the car about 100 miles and want to drop it off at the destination. Hertz and others allow for this. Enterprise does not.
This is not well documented on their web site, or through their partners. The penalty is rough- $150.

Onsite staff is good. A little pushy with the sales pitch of extras like upgrades, and insurance scare tactics. Overall helpful and better than average.

If economy cars are your thing, then you can rent a cheap clean car the size of a peanut M&M for almost nothing.

Website is sloppy and can be a nuisance.

Worst Rental company

My experiences with Enterprise Rent-a-car has been very bad,I will never rent a car there any more.

First Experience: Florida

Enterprise advertises the $9.99 weekend deal, I fell for it. I reserved the car for pick up at 1:00pm, I was late by 30mts. The bugger at the counter said he can't rent the car as I was late by 30 mts. My entire trip was ruined.

Second Experience: Seattle

I reserved a mid-sized car for 3 days, the price quoted was 24.99 a day. However when I looked at the contact the price quoted was 39.99 and they added all coverages without asking me! When I tried to explain the guy at the counted mentioned that the deal expired.

I would recommend Hertz or Avis for your needs, my experiences with them have been very good.

Pet Owners Beware

I have regularly rented vehicles from Enterprise Car Rental for several years now. I just returned a car to the Courtland Street location in Atlanta, Georgia and was slapped with a $75 detail fee because I took my dog along. Nowhere on the website nor on any of their rental agreement documentation does it state "no pets". The rental clerk notified me of the "no smoking" policy when I picked up the car, but he never even mentioned the pet policy. This was especially a surprise because I've taken my dog along on all of my trips from this location for the past 5 years. I am (was) a regular renter that typically rented a car every 2 months or so for road trips.

The national customer service center didn't seem to think my complaint about this warranted a change on their website, so I'll have to get my $$ back by word-of-mouth warning about it. Pet owners beware. Looks like a great way for them to make a few extra bucks.

Friendly service, no problems

I rented a Chevy Aveo (the cheapest type of car available) from the Enterprise at San Jose Airport. I was very pleased. The agents were incredibly friendly (even if you could tell it was institutionalized friendliness). They offered us water for our trip, the car was immediately available and we were offered a ride back to the terminal upon our return. I'd definitely use Enterprise again.

Pros: I believe that the public should have both smoking and non smoking vehicles available.
Cons: Agents should not make value judgments on it's customers.
I rented an automobile from Enterprise for three days last November. On returning the Auto to the office I was upbraided and humiliated by an agent who waited on me for bringing the car back with the smell of smoke in the car. I have been a frequent renter with Enterprise for a number of years and have never been told that Enterprise was a Non Smoking Car Rental Company. They have had ash trays and lighters in their cars. The agent told me I could be billed for cleaning the upholstry after a three day rental no less. There is no "non Smoking Company" policy, no signs, nothing in their contract to that effect. An inquiry in November resulted in being ignored even though I sent a letter to the local Agency and their regional headquarters.

What I resent most of all is the gaul and nerve of the agent for reprimanding me publicly. I want an apology or someone to respond to my complaint. As of this date, nothing!!!!

VERY good rental experience!

Pros: Fast, courteous, professional, NO hidden charges. Basically, the antithesis of Alamo.
Cons: Sometimes limited selection of vehicles compared to others, at least locally.
After our exasperating experiences with Alamo car rentals we were absolutely amazed at the top notch treatment from Enterprise. These people are pros all the way!

I've rented from them twice in the past couple of years, for a week each time. They offer to pick you up at no charge. They do NOT try that infuriating bait-and-switch routine many other companies use. They were very fast and efficient, getting us out the door in about 5 minutes (try THAT at Alamo). And our final bill was actually LOWER than the quoted price by a significant amount! They even offered a FREE upgrade of my choice just because they had so many of those vehicles sitting on the lot.

Enterprise Does Not Care About Their Customers

Cons: Untrustworthy, Useless, Rude, don't call you back on time...or ever.
I reserved a van 3 weeks before an event. I called to verify the pickup time a few days before the event, and they told me that they no longer had a van for me. Now it is going to be impossible to find a large rental van before the date I need it. If I wouldn't have called them to verify the pickup time, I would not have found out until the day I went to pick it up. They apparently weren't planning on calling me.
