I recently completed a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida. I stayed off-site with a friend (at no cost). I visited all the (non-water) parks but took no children with me. All of my Disney World reviews will be written from this perspective....
Pros: lovely and varied building shapes and sizes, has attractions, some inexpensive shopping Cons: theater viewing can be difficult, movie focus not my preference, generic restaurant
China is one of the more visually appealing pavilions in Epcot's World Showcase. It's filled with lovely, bright buildings with lots of reds, blacks, and golds. The buildings are all different heights and shapes, bridges and various types of arches and ...
Pros: Several great shows in one place Cons: You don't get to sit down
Every country showcase in Epcot is different. There is almost always one or more places to buy gifts of varying authenticity, and one or more restaurants with varying prices and levels of comfort. Most have something worth seeing if you have the time...
Pros: New gymnastic act. Pleasant museum. Cons: Long movie, hard to stand there and watch.
While I always enjoyed the architecture displayed at Epcot's "China", as well as the food, I was always bored by the film. It's hard to stand there (you may not sit) through the film, too long for a room crammed with people. It's also hard...
My family and I just came back from Walt Disney World today and it was definitely a great experience. Included in our vacation was our visit to Epcot Center where there are many different countries that are represented. China was one of them, and it...
Pros: Everything was excellent Cons: You had to make advance reservations
When we were visiting China in the World Showcase, stopped at their premiere restaurant. We enjoyed their variety and selection on the menu. The service was excellent, the waiters were kind, efficient, well mannered, knowledgeable concerning each...
Pros: The food is excellent. I have seldom tasted food so good. Cons: Strange smell inside and outside, sticky carpet.
My wife and I ate at the restaurant in China. The food was not quite what we were expecting but it was very good. General Tsa's chicken for example was more like spicy chicken but it was very good. The staff were polite and helpful and as we ate in the ...
Pros: Wonderful food, pleasant staff, great entertainment, wonderful cultural experience Cons: Can be hot, no seating for show, long wait if no reservations for meal, expensive
I have been to Disney World many times and have come to love Epcot the most! The World Showcase is a great place to explore the color and flavor of many different cultures. The best in my opinion would have to be China. China is located near the ...
Pros: there was nothing that we liked in this restaurant even the tables were too close, Cons: I am really dissapointed by the Nine Dragons,
We spent our christmas vacation at Disney and Nine Dragons was our selected candle light dinner restaurant, after reading some reviews we had the impretion that it was one of the best chinese restaurants in the worldcase,, it was awful, poor selection for children and the food wasn't good. I don't understand those reviews i had the honey chickn, which was ok but the rest of the other dishes were really bad,, go somewhere else, we had some pastry at the french bakery,, that was great..
Nine Dragons Restaurant - Good Food, Poor Service by consagra ,Oct 14 '06
Pros: Good food. Cons: Crowded, poor service
Four of us dined at Nine Dragons in China at Epcot in October 2006. We chose this location because it was the only restaurant to still have availability on short notice. We typically prefer Le Cellier in Canada. We were seated promptly, but ended up with a table in the middle of a large, crowded dining room. Ambiance would have been nice if it wasn't for the large crowds. But hey, it's Epcot. I ordered the orange chicken which was terrific and the portion was quite large. Unfortunately, the service here was terrible as with most Epcot restaurants. Our server was friendly for the minute or so that we saw him during our meal. He took our drink order promptly, brought out our drinks promptly, then vanished for a while. We eventually received our entrees, then didn't see him again until long after we had completed our meal and were ready to leave. No clearing the table and we didn't bother trying to order dessert. Nice server, just in the weeds. Seems like every Epcot restaurant operates this way (except Le Cellier from my experience).
