Pros: Little to no wait, great attention to detail Cons: Stairs may prevent some from checking out this unique attraction
One of my favorite movies growing up was the Swiss Family Robinson. As a Disney movie, the story is family friendly, but full of exciting adventure. A shipwrecked family on an uninhabited island, the family Robinson built an amazing tree house ...
Pros: Shows a lot of ingenuity; Lines are very rare. Cons: Stairs; Not for those seeking cheap thrills.
The treehouses we as children spent entire Saturday afternoons engineering all but paled in comparison to Walt Disney’s own. It was thus likely no surprise the wonder with which a child might explore the Swiss Family Treehouse – it’s everything we’d been...
The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse is an attraction in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. It is located in Adventureland and has been present since the park opened in 1971. It is a walk through attraction that people either ...
Pros: realistic, attention to detail, magical experience for children, a quiet contrast to the hustle and bustle of the park Cons: lots of walking, have to carry small children, not something that draws the crowds time after time
Nestled away in a serene area of Adventureland, The Swiss Family Treehouse is an impressive sight for young and old. To children, it opens up a world of creativity, where daydreams of living among its realistic branches and man-made...
I recently completed a trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando Florida. I stayed off-site with a friend (at no cost). I visited all the (non-water) parks but took no children with me. All of my Disney World reviews will be written from this perspective....
Pros: awesome to walk through, feels like the real one, cute, kids will enjoy Cons: lots of stairs, hopefully the people in front of you aren't slow
The Swiss Family Treehouse is made to be a resemblance of the Disney classic, The Swiss Family Robinson book and movie and this attraction is located in the Adventureland section of Disney’s Magical Kingdom in Walt Disney World. This attraction is sure ...
Pros: Imaginative, detailed Cons: Stairs, stairs, and more stairs
Now this is my idea of a dream home. Even though it gives my knees a mighty work out climbing the stairs, I always get in line for the Tree House when I visit the Magic Kingdom. I love the airiness, for one thing. The only thing that could appeal...
Pros: Amazing detail, easy and fun to get through, especially intriguing at nighttime Cons: You can't spend the night in one of the bedrooms
Walt Disney World's Swiss Family Treehouse is the most detailed replica of a setting from a live-action film in any theme park. It is amazing to think of the painstaking attention to accuracy to which the designers had to dedicated themselves....
Pros: realistic based from movie, good views Cons: height not for squeemish, helpful to see movie first
Considering this is based on an older movie, it was interesting seeing the reaction from the different people walking through this as the same time we were.
From what I observed, it appeared that more adults enjoyed this than children. Part...
If you are hot and tired of walking, then you may want to pass on the Swiss Family Treehouse. This attraction is at the Magic Kingdom and is situated in Adventureland. It is a walk through tour of the Robison's Treehouse. There is usually no lines at ...
I went Disney this summer, and this seemed like a fun ride to my brothers and sisters and I. We ran up the steps, trying to find the little cars the bring you everywhere, only to realize to our horror that you had to WALK through the tree. Yes, this is...
Pros: For those who appreciate attention to detail! Cons: Not for the high-speed roller-coaster set
The Swiss Family Robinson's tree house is an absolute must-see for all Disney visitors! Anyone who enjoys Disney's super-attention to detail will marvel at the ingenious work in this tree house: the rooms are fantastic -- they're just as wonderful as...
Pros: short wait for a quality attraction Cons: not handicapped accessible
When I was a kid, we had a large mimosa tree in our front yard and I had all kind of gadgets and "secret" place from which to view the sorrounding neighborhood. Maybe this is why I like the Swiss family Robinson Tree House so much. Actually,...
I was really impressed with this attraction the first time I saw it. It was back in l975 with my parents and sister. I went back two times after that (with a friend and then with my husband). I took my family (three grade school children) in the...
Swiss Family Treehouse Magic Kingdom by IwillBreaku ,Feb 07 '06
Pros: NO lines EVER Cons: Not something the kids will enjoy
This is one of those novelty rides at Disney, its fun to see one time and thats it. There are never any lines because its a walk through a treehouse. You take a trip through this tree house that was supposedly built by the Swiss Family. It takes a good 15 minutes to walk through and up the stairs and down the stairs, especially if you are stuck behind someone who is moving rather slowly as we were.
This is not a ride for kids, they will most likely become very board with this experience. There is not a whole lot for them to see that will catch their eye. No characters no cool colors. I'm not even sure why Disney has kept this one open so many years.
