All Aboard! The Walt Disney World Railroad

by chelledun chelledun is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Hotels & Travel, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Apr 21 '06
Pros: Relaxing, great way to see the park, short lines, can see inside Splash Mountain
Cons: Could have more exciting sites
The Walt Disney World Railroad is the first thing you’ll see when entering the Magic Kingdom park and the last thing you’ll see when leaving. While not one of the most thrilling attractions at the park, the railroad is worth a ride for a ...

by BeastieGirl BeastieGirl is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Hotels & Travel, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Apr 18 '07
Pros: Sneak peak at Splash Mountain; relaxing, slow pace
Cons: In between stations, not too much to look at, compared to Disneyland's Railroad
Looking for a great place to take a twenty minute or so break in the shade in the Magic Kingdom? Want to take a tour around the park while off your feet? Need to calm your children and possibly get them to take a nap? The Walt Disney World ...

All Aboard and be the Conductor of the Walt Disney World Railroad

by mmcphee Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, May 18 '07
Pros: Quiet, relaxing ride with little to no wait
Cons: Not the most exciting ride in the World
The Walt Disney World Railroad is one of those after thought rides for us. It is a nice place to sit for a few minutes and we often use it for filler while waiting for our Fast Pass time to come up on Big Thunder Mountain or Splash Mountain. But ...

Main Street Railroad Station, All Aboard!

by mrssmoopy Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jun 04 '00
Pros: Informative tidbits given, relaxing entertainment
Cons: none (except if you need to use the potty!)
Creative minds capture times of old where the steam trains crossed untamed American wilderness, and you can experience a taste of this way of living by boarding the Walt Disney Railroad when visiting the Magic Kingdom.

We didn't even make the...

Gotta Ride the Choo Choo in the Magic Kingdom!

by goldjay Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Aug 07 '08
Pros: great, relaxing ride
Cons: none
The Walt Disney Railroad was one of the first things my 2 year old son saw on our first trip into the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Admittedly, he is an absolute train ("choo choo" as he called it) fanatic at this time but he was so excited to see ...

Travel in Circles at the Magic Kingdom

by quasar Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Dec 30 '07
Pros: fun, genuine antique steam trains, easy way to get from park entrance to Splash Mountain
Cons: completely open on right side, stops inconvenient for most of the park
The Walt Disney World Railroad doubles as both transportation around the Magic Kingdom and as a leisurely ride on an authentic steam-powered train built in the early part of the 20th century. The train makes three stops around the park, one right by the ...

Pros: nice tour of the park, relaxing ride, don't have to wait long

On a recent trip to Walt Disney World, I started out my day by riding the Walt Disney World Railroad. Located right near the entrance in Main Street, U.S.A, the Walt Disney World Railroad is the perfect way to start your day at Magic Kingdom.

R&R on the Disney R.R.

by blanders76 , Mar 06 '01
Pros: Good way for tired feet to get from one spot to another
Cons: Not the most exciting ride
I lived in Orlando for a year, and during that time I went to Disney just about every weekend. After a few trips to the Magic Kingdom on hot and crowded days, I discovered how much easier it is to take the Disney Railroad rather than fight the crowds and...

RailRoad Tour!

Pros: great place to start
Cons: kinda slow ride
Here is a Ride that I suggest you do first. As soon as you enter into the Disney Park go under the tunnel and around to the front where you can aboard the RailRoad Ride.
Take it on one complete ride all around the park so you can get a good idea of...

Pros: Leisurely travel around the park for those tired feet!
Cons: There are no Cons at Disney!!!
On my recent trip to Disney in January (which was my fourth time there) I finally decided to see what the Disney World railroad was all about. With all the hype of being there previously I overlooked this diamond in the rough. There are three train ...

by adover , Nov 18 '02
Pros: Pleasant, rhythmic, nice pace transport
Cons: Trouble if you toddler needs a fast potty-there is none until the next stop
The Train stations pick up and drop off passengers at the Front gate, at Mickey's House in Fantasy land, and in Adventure land, near the Splash Mountain ride.

My kid has always loved trains, so we ride this just for fun, and to rest weary...

Choo- Choo: Next Stop: Mickey's Toontown Fair....!!

by artiste , Mar 31 '01
Pros: so much fun, relieve those tired feet
Cons: crowds up sometimes
I love to hop on this railroad for sights, fun, and alittle rest. You step onto the elevated platform in Magic Kingdom to go on a ride into history. Walt Disney loved railroads. There are four trains that Disney has aptly named: Lilly Belle (after...

Time travel and a rest...

by shaunb , Jul 21 '00
Pros: A few minutes to rest
Cons: Not the most exciting ride
The Disney railroad is a great ride to get on about half way through the day. Although it's not the most entertaining ride in the park, it is an enjoyable and relaxing experience.

As you take this step back in time to ride a real steam engine...
