Pros: Cheap, good for those wanting to pick up a date Cons: Unclean establishment, rude staff, wait time for equipment, uncomfortable surroundings
Oh my memories of having a membership at 24 hr. fitness are quite vivid. Can you say meat market? How about downright rude & uncourteous staff? You will find all this and more.
Now don't get me wrong, if you are looking for a low budget...

Pros: Cheap membership dues (in my case at least), many locations. Cons: Lack of leg and shoulder equipment, very little free weights, won’t turn AC on.
This review is about the 24 Hour Fitness locations on Mason Road and Fry Road in Katy, Texas, and all of the "sport" clubs in general. I joined the Mason Road club back when it was World's Gym about 8 years ago, and it was fantastic even after 24 Hour ...

Pros: diversity of classes, clean facility Cons: read the review
Hi folks-
To add context to my review, please take note that for a period of 1 year, I worked out mainly at the Salinas and Panorama City facilities, both in California. Two other members of my family and I purchase the "family...

Pros: Clean facilities, state-of-the-art equipment Cons: Unfriendly, sometimes rude staff, high prices for membership
My experience with 24 Hour Fitness is slightly less then positive but I will attempt to give a fair epinion while at the same time sharing my personal experiences.
Membership
To get a basic membership I paid about $150. They then...

Pros: Have latest machines available Cons: Too many people
I first joined 24 Hour Fitness two years ago, and loved it. That was when I came in, did my small group of known exercises and left. Not realizing the whole other world to that gym...
I didn't find out about the lovely eucalyptus room, the...

Pros: Nice dedicated people running a clean, state of the art shop Cons: Damn the necessity that brought me here!
It would be cheap and easy — in other words, it would be just like me and my usual shtick — simply to have smart-aleck fun with this review.
It would also be wrong.

Pros: classes, open 24 hrs, many locations, new equipment Cons: might be pricey without a deal
I first joined 24 hour fitness, because they had an awesome deal through the company my boyfriend was working for at the time, unfortunately, this meant I had to drive 30 miles from my house to go sign up at a particular gym, but being as it was only a...

Pros: clean Cons: no help
This summer, I was staying in Anaheim prior to going off to Israel. I wanted a gym at which to work out while I was there. It was only for a few months, so a year membership didn't seem reasonable. The lady of the house went every morning at 5 a.m. to...

Pros: Multiple locations. Range of exercise options. Open 24 hours. Cons: Mediocre equipment. Rates. Annoying music. Crowded.
I maintained a membership with 24 hour fitness for approximately three years. I prefer to get my exercise outdoors, and used their services primarily for weight lifting, so my review is biased toward that.
The Good:
Here in California,...

Pros: Good facilities, hours, services Cons: Customer Service is TERRIBLE!
"Hi, I was wondering if you had a basketball court in your facility," I said.
"We sure do! Would you like to come in and take a tour?" replied the 24-Hour Fitness rep.
"Maybe ..."
"Great! How...

Pros: many machines, members from different walks of life Cons: annoying company music tapes can get on my nerves
Now you say "Hi, Nicky" in unison...
Sometimes I have a hard time admitting that my gym of choice is 24 Hour Fitness when I'm asked, but there are many reasons why I like this gym. Why am I ashamed? Well, I think for a lot of us what...

Pros: Good selection of equipment, affordable Cons: Not the best set-up for equipment
A few years ago, a representative of 24 Hour Fitness came to my place of employment and offered a great sign-up package. I paid an initial fee of $69.00, with monthly fees of $12.00 after that. Even at the time, this was a good deal, most gyms charge...

Pros: Multilocations, several membership plans, convenient locations and hours of operations. Cons: Quality control at the clubs is not consistent. Some clubs are great and some aren't!
When I moved from Nashville to Dallas, within the first week I was searching for a new gym. Who would have thought it would have been such an ordeal?
The first club I visited was a 24 hour fitness club. It was conveniently located in North...

Pros: Clean, new facility Cons: Staff not helpful, limited pool hours
First, I must say that I joined this chain simply because I was looking for a heated pool near work where I could try to build up my leg muscles and decrease the pain in my knee. Because of my arthritis, a pool is the perfect place to...

Pros: Well it is open 24 hours and all over the place Cons: Lack of free weights for legs, shady sales tactics, way overcrowded and too cramped
I work out in the 24 hour gyms in Torrance, Long Beach, and Los Alamitos, California.
For the shift worker, 24 hour fitness is the ideal choice, since it is everywhere in Southern California, and is open 24 hours.
However, like many...
