Pros: Flexibility, equipment, cleanliness, staffing Cons: None
I have been a member of 24 Hour fitness since 1998. I was one of the first people to join this particular branch. The company I was working for had a partnership deal, so I avoided many of the startup fees associated with opening a gym membership. ...

Pros: Convenient, clean, cordial staff, reasonable monthly fees. Cons: Aerobics classes can be a little advanced and a little big for the beginner, needs more cardio machines
So I've been reading a lot of these other reviews for 24 Hour Fitness and I'm starting to feel a little naive, like I wouldn't know a good gym if one if it's personal trainers knocked on my door at 6am and dragged me out of bed to go workout. Well, I've...

Pros: Many classes, lots of gyms, great babysitting Cons: No racquetball or swimming at my local facilities
When my husband and I decided to join a gym, we really shopped around. We each have different wants and needs from a place so it was a semi-difficult decision. The actual reason we went with 24 Hour Fitness was it fit all of our needs (except my...

Pros: many machines, members from different walks of life Cons: annoying company music tapes can get on my nerves
Now you say "Hi, Nicky" in unison...
Sometimes I have a hard time admitting that my gym of choice is 24 Hour Fitness when I'm asked, but there are many reasons why I like this gym. Why am I ashamed? Well, I think for a lot of us what...

Pros: Clean, friendly staff, inexpensive childcare, open 24 hours Cons: Pricey, childcare is not available 24 hours, some annoying patrons
Up until I graduated from high school, I was a very "fit" person. I played soccer and softball from the time I could write my name, I ice skated, and took gymnastics, dance, and tennis lessons. I ended up playing tennis, soccer, and softball for four...

Pros: Open all night Cons: Some people there were just trying to look cute
I decided to go to 24 Hour Fitness because I went to school during the day and needed a place to workout at night. I had no idea what would be waiting for me at 24 Hour Fitness.
I really liked the new equipment they installed that allowed me...

Pros: Open 24 Hours, State of the art equipment, Many locations you can chose from, you can work out when you travel. Cons: Many locations lack the frills, a pool, sauna, massage rooms, racketball, etc.
Twenty Four Hour Fitness is a great place to work out. The equipment is state of the art. You can chose from many machines and there are ample free weights. However, there are also many members. If you want to work out during peak hours, expect to wait in...

Pros: convenient locations and hours Cons: expensive initiation fee, unfriendly management, crowded
My wife and I joined 24 hour fitness in October 2001. They pretty much bankrolled me on the enrollment/initiation fees, however were willing to work out a payment arrangement with me. I was not overly eager to pay the fee, but the gym is convenient to...

Pros: great for your shape Cons: go at the wrong time, it's busy!
I have been a member for many years. I joined when the club was Family Fitness. Back when the dues were low and the people were more friendly, one couldn't feel at ease. People were not quite as committed to losing the weight or gaining mass as they are...

Pros: Open 24 Hours a day, as the name states. Cons: Crowded, with lots of socializers tying up the machines.
I chose to join the Larkspur branch (in Marin County, California) of 24 Hour Fitness over the half dozen or so other gyms in my area primarily due to the fact that it is open 24 hours a day, just like the name implies. I paid for two years, and got a...

Pros: Trainer went through machines thoroughly. Everything is very clean. Cons: They do sales pitches on a regular basis. I wasn't told anything about classes.
Well, I have had my first workout experience at 24 Hour Fitness. Overall, it was a wonderful experience although my muscles may say differently in the morning!
The Good
