Pros: Cheap, lots of locations Cons: Crowded, poorly maintained equipment, high pressure sales, inexeperienced staff
I joined 24 hour over two years ago when they came to do a health fair onsite at a former employer of mine. I went to the gym to check it out and they were offering a two year membership for around $25/month which included the bonus of training sessions...

Pros: good equipment Cons: too many people
What can you say about 24 Hour Fitness that hasn't already been said.
I was a member of 24 Hour Fitness for two years. The only reason I switched from World Gym was to gain access to their pool. I have been to three different 24 Hour Fitness...

Pros: Convenient location in downtown. Cons: Unprofessional staff
Poor facilities
I was recently pushed into getting a membership at a 24-hour fitness. It was a nightmarish experience. I was set up with a trainer, whose only motivation was to try to bully me into buying pills and supplements so he could get some more commission....

Pros: Anonymous corporate Cons: Anonymous corporate
I belong to the Berkeley gym, but have worked out at many others. I never joined 24 Hour Fitness as they purchased my body when they bought out the local Gold's Gym. Since that time the gym has been enlarged and many more devices added. The price has ...

Pros: open 24 hours, lots of equipment Cons: pushy sales people, fees, etc.
OK, I wanted to join a gym, because if you have read some of my other reviews I have gained too much weight and have become overweight.
Well I called and set up an apointment with them. They said that it was only like $24.95 and you didn't...

Pros: locations everywhere Cons: staff at California locations tends to be somewhat rude
I've belonged to 24Hour Fitness for three years now and most of my experience has been positive. I bought the sort of membership where I can go to a 24Hour Fitness club in any state and it's been invaluable because I've moved three times to different...

Pros: Club finder listing all clubs within 5 miles. Newsletters for fitness info. Easy to navigate and answers questions. Cons: Aside from the trial membership, it does not list any prices.
I just enrolled with 24 Hour Fitness online, so this portion of the review is more about that than the club. That is until I get back tonight from the gym and tomorrow I will post Part Two about the gym itself. The site URL is...

Pros: Multilocations, several membership plans, convenient locations and hours of operations. Cons: Quality control at the clubs is not consistent. Some clubs are great and some aren't!
When I moved from Nashville to Dallas, within the first week I was searching for a new gym. Who would have thought it would have been such an ordeal?
The first club I visited was a 24 hour fitness club. It was conveniently located in North...

Pros: They have clubs all over the Bay Area. Cons: When they upgrade their clubs you can't use it anymore.
They changed one of their regular fitness clubs to one of their higher-priced "Sport Club". When they were all done with their renovation the staff wouldn't allow me to use that club anymore. I have paid for an "All Club Membership" since 1998 and ...

Pros: Size, Equipment, Good social programs monthly. Cons: Overcrowding, quality of service, cleanliness.
The 24 Hour Ultra Sport in Irvine, Ca. is a great facility. I was once a member of the Bodies in Motion, Irvine, located at the Irvine Spectrum. Great gym, but they filed for Chapter 11 after 1 year of business. I assume it was because the rent was so ...

Pros: Clean, new facility Cons: Staff not helpful, limited pool hours
First, I must say that I joined this chain simply because I was looking for a heated pool near work where I could try to build up my leg muscles and decrease the pain in my knee. Because of my arthritis, a pool is the perfect place to...

Pros: Lots of locations Cons: Rude staff, strict rules about everything, and not enough water fountains.
I joined 24 Hr. Fitness because of the many locations near my house. It was a mistake. I will not renew my membership, that is for sure. The fees were nuts! I mean, the facilities and equipment were nice and well-kept, but the staff makes the...

Pros: Different brands of equipment. Variety of cardiovascular equipment and often the latest and greatest. Cons: Dirty! Problems with the pool/spa area. Not clean and chemicals in the air.
I had several bad experiences with the local 24-Hour club. The weights were quite dirty and they were sticking together when I was using them. I had the pin in one plate and 2 others stuck to the bottom. Then there was the day the light fixture was...
