Pros: NONE Cons: High priced, difficult contracts
All gyms that are worth anything have good equipment and clean well managed facilities. That is a simple fact if they didn't people wouldn't join them. The one main difference is the membership fees and contracts.
I was a member of Bally's...

Pros: Great for a year Cons: rip off after a year
I hate this place. I used to live near a Total Fitness. When I moved, the nearest club is now an hour away. Ok, I figured. Not their fault. Can expect them to have a club near my new house.
So I went to their website. Using their club...

Pros: The classes, a lot of different types of machines for same muscle group. Cons: CONTRACT!! Customer service is terrible too.
TO THOSE WHO ARE SEEKING A GYM MEMBERSHIP, PLEASE READ EVERYTHING! FIND OUT HOW LONG YOUR CONTRACT WILL BE FOR AND FIND OUT WHAT THEIR CANCELLATION POLICY IS. I found the gym to be actually decent, but after all the hassle with my contract, I don't want ...

Pros: Cheap and easy to find. Cons: The worst service for a large company EVER.
Bally's is the worst gym in America and it seems they could care less. The employees are reserved to hanging around and providing no genuine help and the facilities are often dirty, behind the times, and not well kept.
People would pay extra...
