  • Be careful what you wish for -- you just might get it!

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jan 19, 2005
Pros: Gives a very close shave, minimal skin irritation. Rechargeable, self-cleaning, attractive, and functional.
Cons: It's not cheap. (But then, that could be a pro as well as a con!)

Summary: In June, a few years ago (not certain which), I was watching TV, when I saw a commercial for the Braun Syncro 7526 electric shaver. Now I'll admit, I was very interested. What I didn't know was, my wife was watching me. Looking for clues for the ... read more

    Nov 27, 2007
Pros: Good clean shave and long battery life.
Cons: Stands a little flimsy, but easy to fix.

Summary: If I had to buy one razor that will last and last, it would have to be the Braun Syncro. After trying just about every brand of electric razor on the market and seeing each one go bad for whatever reason. I bought my Braun years ago and it's still going. ... read more

  • Braun Synco 7526 Electric Shaver

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Mar 8, 2007
Pros: does not irritate my skin, close shave, low maintenance, its long battery life, portable
Cons: It costs 110 dollars ,the self-cleaning is a little noisy

Summary: I can't compare the Braun Synco 7526 Electric Shaver to any other shaver's, since it is my first and hopefully last electric shaver. I can compare the shaver to disposable razors and all of the Mach razor's. I've been in the Air Force for 10 ... read more

  • Really Is Close As A Blade!

Rated a Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jun 22, 2006
Pros: Close, close shave, no irritation, cleaning base makes for hassle free maintenance.
Cons: Cleaning cycle is loud, trimmer is awkward to use.

Summary: I own a Philishave 510 that is about 15 years old. I never liked it because I always got wicked razor burn from it. I tried out the Remington Titanium R9500. Garbage, from the shave to the cleaning. The razor burn I got from using it was worse than my ... read more

    Pros: Self cleaning.
Cons: Expensive and cleaning solution expensive and hard to find.

Summary: I purchased this online at Amazon for $70 with a rebate and have been happy with it for the last 9 months. Some of the great features about this razor are: 1) Self cleaning base 2) Close shave 3) Long lasting charge 4) Nice case Some NOT so ... read more

  • Good shave for a few weeks, then...

Rated a Somewhat Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Nov 30, 2005
Pros: Self cleaning, long battery life, wide shave
Cons: Only a few weeks worth of nice shave before razor burn sets in

Summary: I've had my shaver for a couple years now, and I'm definitely ready for a switch back to Norelco. For the first month or so, the shaver is both quiet and performs great. Then it starts to get noisy and that's when it starts leaving nice and painful red ... read more

  • I can't believe how much better this shaver is

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Oct 7, 2005
Pros: Very comfortable, much better than 2 rotary shavers I've used. Seems well built.
Cons: Expensive (without a great sale). Also expensive to keep buying the cleaning fluid. Noisy.

Summary: ***Update after 11 months use*** My experience with the shaver continues to be positive, and my comments in the 6 month update still hold. I replaced the foil on the shaver head about 2 months ago, not because it wore out, but because I had dropped ... read more

  • Lifetime Razor User is Impressed

Rated a Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jul 7, 2005
Pros: Very easy to use, little or no irritation, very close shave.
Cons: Not as quiet as a razor. ;)

Summary: New comments at the bottom... I have used a razor for as long as I have been shaving. I am pretty particular about my shave; when I'm done I expect my skin to be perfectly smooth when rubbed in any direction. I have been wanting to try an electric ... read more

  • Razor is good, Peripherals stink

Rated a Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jun 5, 2005
Pros: Razor works acceptably, shave is as close as any other electric I've tried.
Cons: Flimsy, cheaply made, poor quality power cable and cleaning system.

Summary: I've had this razor for about a year now. The razor itself works well and is a fairly close shave. The extra pieces that come with it are another matter. First off, the cleaning cradle stopped working correctly in the first 2-3 weeks. The way it ... read more

  • 2 years and its broke again

Rated a Somewhat Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jan 28, 2005
    Pros: good shave when clean
    Cons: EXPENSIVE TO KEEP

Summary: I have had this fine product for about 2 years and in that time the charger has jammed and not wanted to charge about a dozen times. Luckily I being somewhat mechanically minded I was able to fix it and get it going again. The unit does provide a good ... read more

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jan 10, 2005
Pros: Best electric shave, comfy & fast, self-cleaning, nice pop-up trimmer
Cons: Dumps trimmings on your chest, foils go bad fast on heavy beards

Summary: I have a very heavy beard but sensitive skin. You too? Read on... I hope this is helpful. I started out shaving with a razor years ago. But that irritated my skin, and I didn't have that much time before school & work to commit to shaving. I got a ... read more

  • Great for middle aged guys

Rated a Somewhat Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Sep 14, 2004
Pros: adequate neck/face shave, great for other unwanted hair
Cons: pricey and you know they love selling you cleaning refills

Summary: Does it shave as close as a razor? No, but it's more than adequate. Is it easier/faster than using a razor? No, it takes longer until you factor in "middle age surprise hair" (see below). Why do I like it? I'm 46, and I have hair growing on the ... read more

  • 3 Strikes and you're Out!

Rated a Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    May 21, 2004
Pros: Works well for the first three months.
    Cons: Quickly loses its effectiveness.

Summary: I have owned Braun shavers over the past 20 years and have been very pleased with their performance. The batteries usually gave out before the shaver ever did. That's why I was looking forward to the Braun 7526 when my 1-2-3 shaver finally wouldn't ... read more

Summary: Hi, everyone. This is the first review I have posted on Epinions, so bear with me. A bit of caution...this is very long. Sorry. I will get better as I write more :) BACKGROUND: I am 36 years old and have been using electric razors for the last ... read more

  • Broken in 37 Days

Rated a Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Feb 3, 2004
Pros: Excellent shave, left my face feeling really good. Self-cleaning worked well.
Cons: Unreliable, Expensive, self-cleaning mode is loud and long, cleaning modules are expensive, battery weak.

Summary: I am really disappointed in this shaver. I liked it a lot until it broke at 37 days. I see now there are lots of reconditioned ones and the guarantee is only for 30 days. Braun appears to neither care nor want to know about any problems. They have ... read more

  • The best shaver period if used properly

Rated a Somewhat Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jan 19, 2004
Pros: Cool German Design, less irritation than Norelco, easy clean up, close shave.
Cons: Hair falls out of foil while shaving, doesn't cut longer hairs, not washable.

Summary: I had been using a Norelco Quadra Action razor before switching to the Braun Syncro. Hands down, the Braun gives a closer shave with less irritation. But, you have to follow a few steps to make it work just right. First, you must use a preshave ... read more

  • Beats the Panasonic 8092 in My "Head to Head" Test!

Rated a Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Dec 31, 2003
Pros: Close, comfortable, well-built, and reasonable cost for replacement parts.
Cons: A bit bulky, heavy, cold to the feel, and not perfect on the neck.

Summary: Being undecided and analytical, I went out and purchased both the Braun 7526 and the Panasonic 8092NC and put them up against each other. The overall winner was.........The Braun! By way of background, I've been shaving with a Mach 3 Turbo and its ... read more

Cons: Have to buy cleaning cartridges, can't rinse under the tap.

Summary: I recently exchanged a 6610 Free Glider for the 7526 after being disappointed with the 6610. Right away, I was very impressed with the shave quality of the 7526. This is the best electric shave I've had. I've had 4 Brauns previous to this (including the ... read more
