Pros: Easy to handle and does a fantastic job on the beard itself Cons: Don't keep the charger plugged in!
One of the more frustrating things a man discovers when he first grows a beard is that there are few people around to tell him how to properly groom his new look. I’ve worn a full beard for most of the past ten years and only recently have learned how...
Pros: One of the most useful gifts I've ever received! Quick, efficient, easy to clean! Cons: Don't use it first thing in the morning!
After my wedding in 1997, I decided to grow a beard. It failed horribly so I settled for a goatee. I've been very happy with it thus far and it has quickly become one of my defining features. The maintenance of this face-fur became unduly burdensome as I...
Pros: Dependable motor and blade Cons: Battery, charger, and brush
I've owned my Norelco T6000 for about 3 years now. I generally use it once a week.
---Battery---
When I first bought it, I could go about a month between recharges. Now it is no longer able to hold a charge for long enough to last until...
Pros: easy to use, easy to clean, various lengths Cons: a little loud
I am still a young enough man to be able to wear a goatee with dignity. You have all seen men with goatees or other facial hair that should really shave, but refuse to. Mine has no gray, and is still nice and full. Trimming regularly becomes the only...
Pros: Lots of features, 9 length settings, cordless, and much more! Cons: Nothing major
If you're looking for a beard trimmer, Norelco definitely has one for you. I've had the T-6000 for about two months now and have yet to have a problem with it. It has a ton of great features, such as:
Pros: Makes beard and moustache maintenence a snap. Can be used also for crew-cuts! Cons: None, really.
I first saw it advertised on television, and thought, "I need one of those". So, my wife bought the Norelco T-6000 Trimmer for me for Christmas. Right along with it, she also got me the Norelco 5610x cordless shaver.
My husband asked his dad for the Norelco Beard and Mustache trimmer for Christmas last year. Since then, it has been widely used in this house by all famliy members. (much to my husbands dismay) This product is one of the best trimmers I have ever...
Pros: This is definitely a well made product Cons: The color choice is limited
I purchased this Norelco T6000 trimmer two months ago as a gift for my husband, and he has found it to be a "can't do without" personal product. I purchased this Norelco because I was familiar with the brand name. This Norelco trimmer is small but well...
Pros: Outstanding accuracy and portability! Cons: Only that it'll make you want to throw out your old trimmer!
The Norelco T-6000 Trimmer is a god-send. It trims accurately and effectively and the battery lasts more than long enough for several full-body trims... It is extremely durable and the blade guard is very good at keeping you from making mistakes. The...
I purchased this trimmer at Target about a year ago and it is still going strong. It is battery operated and is charged on a base. It has a long battery life that will last weeks without charging. It has 9 setting to make you a harley bike riding...
Pros: Trims great. Mows great too. Cons: Don't cook the battery!!!
This is well worth the investment of either $$$ or time to put it on your Xmas list. I keep a moustache rear-round. In the summer I have to "be the face" of a motel and a charter boat, so I better look decent. On Thanksgiving Day, I do a nice smooth shave (keeping said moustache) and start the Winter Beard. By Xmas it looks decent enough for all the photos. This thing keeps it in check, and removing the height attachment lets me mow the (by then) damn thing off for spring cleaning.
Don't cook the battery!!! I did, it will cost $$$ for Some Guy to replace it, or alot for the "proper" replacement. OR you can be smart and go to bbmbattery.com and get it for $2.50 + $0.30 for the tabbed model (VRE AA 600 R). If you are half a man with tools, you can change it in 15 minutes with a soldering iron. Makes it alot cooler to use after you have fixed it too!
Built-in obsolescence--how offensive by nottonorelco ,Aug 16 '05
Pros: We now know NOT to buy from Norelco. Cons: Consumer cannot change battery/too costly to pay repairman-end up needing a new trimmer.
Although we thought it was great when we bought it, once the battery died, so did our love for the item.
Any product that is manufactured so that you must spend as much to replace the battery as to buy a new one, is doing customers and the environment a disservice.
If you manufacture a product in such a way that the battery is not replaceable by the owner, but must be replaced by someone who can solder a rechargeable battery into it, you are creating just a piece of junk for the landfill.
We asked Norelco to recommend an authorized repair person to replace the battery, and Norelco said that it would cost as much as replacing the whole trimmer, so we should just buy a new one. We will never be buying Norelco again.
I bought the Norelco T6000... by dawnb_dt3000 ,Dec 11 '02
I bought the Norelco T6000 5 years ago and he loved it. My husband used it every other day. He liked it so much, I'm buying him another one for Christmas this year.
