Victim of shabby construction!
by barbie-q ,Dec 04 '03
Pros: Ran like a champ Cons: Poor design and manufacturing
I bought the 3060 about three weeks ago. While it worked really well during its short life--it was made very poorly.
While walking one of the 3 gallon water tanks from the sink back to the humidifier the handle snapped off and the entire tank split open upon impact. Three gallons of water pouring across your rugs and floors is not a pretty sight. In a postmortem, I noticed that the handle is only spot-glued to the body of the tank. The weight of 3 gallons of water is pretty substantial, I don't see how the handle can possibly withstand that sort of stress.
I returned the damaged humidifier with no hassles at Walmart, but I opted not to replace it with the same model.
