More Information
Details: The CFD-S39 may not be flashy, but its Sonys most full-featured standard-looking one-piece boombox. You get a bundle of goodies, namely an auto-reverse cassette and a remote control. This unit also has a digital AM/FM tuner with 20 station presets and a CD player. Except for the cassette deck, the remote can handle everything, including the 120-minute sleep/wake timer. Sony threw in CD sound effects for some reason: Loop, which continuously repeats a few seconds of music, and Flash, which provides intermittent sound play of music. The remainder of the S39s feature set is standard for the price. CD synchro recording automatically starts the CD player when the cassette decks record is engaged. The four EQ sound presets (live, vocal, rock and pop) can be switched off.
