If your audio system uses small satellite speakers, you need a sub not only to give action movies an authoritative punch, but to fill out male baritones and at least some of the bottom musical octave in movie soundtracks and music. If you can't afford to spend a fortune for a great sub, here is a quite decent one at an affordable price. With its largest dimension barely exceeding a foot and a half, the S-DW1-K is no behemoth. The 10-inch driver fires down and is made of a hybrid material, a step up from other cheap subs. Its most interesting feature is the internal BASH amplifier. Other features include integrated keyhole for easy wall mounting, bass reflex cabinet for extended lows, magnetic shielding for use near TV and contoured vent for more punch. |
