Inventory Solution expands SMS to enable you to manage industry leading UNIX systems from your SMS console. Like all the Altiris products, UNIX Inventory Solution is very simple to setup and deploy. UNIX Inventory Solution sends the inventory to SMS through Notification Server, a service that runs on any Windows NT system in your network. There is no special SMB or NFS software that you have to install - a simple TCP/IP connection is all you need. UNIX Inventory Solution comes with a number of reports that help you leverage the asset data that is placed in the SMS database. These reports can be accessed not only from a PC, but from any UNIX browser as well. |
