Along with their extensive line of baby backpack carriers , Kelty offers the Kangaroo , a front baby carrier designed for carrying your infant. The Kangaroo is for infants from newborn weight to 28 lbs, and can be used with your child facing forward or backwards. A newborn faces backwards; head and neck supported by the pack. When he is able to support his own head, simply fold down the support panel, and he's got a bird's eye view. The suspension system of the Kangaroo resembles a backpack, with smaller straps criss-crossing in the back. The Kangaroo is designed to redistribute weight from your shoulders to your hips, taking the stress off your neck and shoulders. Similar to other front baby carriers , the Kangaroo is easy to take on and off without waking a sleeping baby. A stand-out feature is the rain/sun/privacy hood.
