Details: The 10 foot hull is small and light enough at 34 lbs. for easy storage and transit. The hull is made with a composite structure from repairable linear polyethylene. It is stiffer than conventional rotomolded kayaks. This stiffness lowers resistance in the water, preventing oil canning. It also is quieter in use and warmer in cold water. The cockpit is large, so that getting in and out of the Walden Naturalist is easy! Flotation in a Walden Naturalist far exceeds its own requirements.
