On WHITE TRASH WITH MONEY, the Oklahoma native draws from earlier phases of his career, while also heading into less-familiar musical territory. Keith slips into crooner mode (a la 1996's gentle BLUE MOON) on the pleading "Crash Here Tonight," and while he gets political on "Ain't No Right Way," the song, ultimately, proves to be a wistful ballad. "Get Drunk and Be Somebody" livens things up with a gleefully raucous vibe buoyed by prominent horn lines, while "A Little Too Late" mines an uncharacteristic "countrypolitan" vein, as Keith sings over lush orchestral backing.
