Panasonic's capacity-coupled drive system and high-speed LCD give the TC-22LT1 LCD panel extremely fast response. With a refresh time of just 16 milliseconds, it improves on the conventional NTSC time of 16.7 milliseconds and eliminates the unnatural-looking moving pictures common to many LCD systems. Use of a new color filter and optical simulation greatly expands the color reproductions ranges, giving you vivid reds that actually surpass those of CRTs. Active Light Control automatically detects the brightness levels of the input signal and adjust the backlight accordingly in real-time. This screen provides maximum brightness that's up to 1.4 times greater than the level of conventional systems, while its minimum brightness during dark scenes is about one-half conventional levels. The result is a greatly expanded dynamic range from black to white peak, with crisp, natural pictures that assure dynamic viewing.
