| For 1998, the Yukon is only available as a four-door; the two-door versions are dropped. The 2WD drive and 4WD drive models are still available. Having dropped the two-door versions, the base SL-trim is no longer available and last years mid-line SLE-trim is standard for 1998. Luxury features such as power windows, power driver seats and air condition are now standard. For the 4WD, an optional AutoTrac transfer case is available. This feature allows the Yukon to be driven in 4-wheel drive mode on dry-paved surfaces without binding the axles. In addition, AutoTrac automatically detects which wheels have the most traction and sends power to them. |
