| The Mountaineer sport utility is manufactured in Louisville, Kentucky with many new changes. A few of the exterior changes include a new designed grille, headlights, rear liftgate, taillights and bodyside moldings. New safety equipment include depowered air bags and the SecuriLock anti-theft ignition system. The Mountaineer is available in 2WD, 4WD and AWD models. The AWD is only available with the 5.0L V8 engine which is paired to the four speed automatic transmission. All Mountaineer engines can go 100,000 miles before requiring a tune-up. New optional convenience features on the Mountaineer include a one-touch power moonroof and 145 watt MACH¬ audio system. The audio system includes a CD player, cassette player and seven speakers. |
