| The 1999 Saab 9-3 is an all new vehicle for Saab. The 9-3 comes in six models; the 5-door, 3-door, Convertible, SE 5-door, SE Convertible and the limited production Viggen. An electrostatic cabin air filter, daytime running headlights and steering wheel mounted radio controls are some of the standard features. The front seats come with Saabs Active Head restraint system. This system is activated during a rear-end impact when the occupants head is pressed into the backrest. This causes the head restraint to move up and forward before the head moves back and causes the whiplash motion. Heated seats and mica paint are available as options on standard 9-3s. The power sunroof is an option on the 3-door and 5-door, but standard on the Viggen. |
