For the 2001 model year, the Crown Victoria is available in two models: Base and LX. Power adjustable pedals are now offered to increase driver comfort, horsepower has been increased from 200 to 225, and there has been some minor reconfiguration of interior switches. The new standard Personal Safety System includes dual stage air bags, safety belt pretensioners, and crash severity and seat position sensors. Cruise control, an emergency trunk release, and power windows and door locks are also standard. Traction control, six-disc CD changer, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and the Handling and Performance Package are available as options. The Crown Victoria LX includes a six-way power driver seat and keyless entry system.
