| For the 2001 model year, the Ranger SuperCab returns with several changes. The Edge Series, available in both 2WD and 4WD, is a new addition to the Ranger SuperCab line-up. Exterior changes on all models include a new grille, bumpers, and headlamps. There are also four new exterior colors: Sliver Frost Metallic, Woodland Green Metallic, Bright Island Blue Metallic and Chrome Yellow Clearcoat (Edge model only). The Ranger SuperCab series features improved braking with the addition of standard four-wheel ABS on all models. A 4.0L SOHC engine is also new, replacing the 4.0L OHV engine from the previous year. The SecuriLock passive anti-theft system, a tachometer, and air conditioning (except on the XL model) are standard equipment. |
