| More Information |
| The GS sedans mark the middle range of the Lexus lineup. Joining the 6-cyl GS 300 for 2001 is the new V8 GS 430. It has a larger engine than the GS 400 it replaces. Both GS models get subtle styling changes and, as standard, new curtain side airbags, more wood interior trim, and electronic compass. New high-intensity headlamps are standard on the 430, optional for the 300. Front side airbags, antiskid system, traction control, and ABS are standard. Both models have a 5-speed automatic transmission; steering-wheel manual shift buttons are now standard for the GS 300 but are dropped from the V8 model. A Mark Levinson-brand audio system replaces Nakamichi as the top sound option. A navigation system is available for both models. |
